Desitin Maximum Strength Baby Diaper Rash Cream with Zinc Oxide, 16 oz, is being used for some bed sores. Instead of paying for a prescription, I checked with my doctor, and she recommended this product.

It has been doing the same as a prescription I had, so I am staying with this product, as I am bed-bound. It is not just for your baby; bed-bound people and seniors of any age can use it if they need to.

I recently got this one to use on my baby’s bum as a barrier of protection. He currently has a diaper rash, but consistent use of this %26 his diaper rash has been healing better. I usually use the Daily Defense Desitin, so why not give this one a try! 

Smell: Sort of a clay-ish smell to it (doesn’t bother me, but if you’re sensitive to smell maybe use the Daily Defense version)

Consistency: Thick

WILL LEAVE A WHITE CAST IF GETS ANYWHERE IN SKIN, EASILY WIPE OFF!!

This jar should last a while, but when needed will definitely purchase again!

Great buy for all babies!!

This is the only thing that worked for my sons but rash! It also great for babies that drool a lot— and gets rid of drool rash! I would recommend getting this product! It is tried and true! There is a reason it’s been around for years! We have bought countless bottles and they all are the same consistency! It is consistent great product! Just cannot be left out in the sun or it gets runny!

Get for your baby!

I was using the squeeze tubes, and they were so frustrating, but the jars with screw on lids work great and easy to get quickly for application of whatever you want in an instant. It also is more economical in this jar form.

Excellent for Chapped Skin Quick Healing

This stuff is great. It works fast, like in hours, not days, fast. The 40% zinc instead of 15% or 20% found in other oinments makes a huuuuugggeee difference!  Zinc can kill bacteria and yeasts. This ointment is thick, smooth, soft, silky, creamy, and spreads easily, unlike some ointments that are much harder to apply. It stays put for a long time after it is applied, provides an effective barrier against moisture, and doesn't  come off until it is deliberately removed. I am extremely pleased with this ointment. This is good for any age; adults, infants, children, and elderly.

As a mom of twins, diaper rash cream is gold — not just an ointment, but a must-have barrier that keeps rashes away. I trust brands like Desitin and Aquaphor for real results without compromising quality. And surprisingly, Walmart beats Amazon on price. I couldn’t believe it — but it’s true.

I like the efficacy of this product, however I'm disappointed in the inconsistency of the texture (it was nice and thick and smooth as cold cream cheese in my first jar 5 years ago, but now this last one's a  little goopier and sort of grainy) and how it is "sealed" with only a piece of tape from the lid to the jar.

The salve is to thick and very hard to dissolve when rubbing on the skin.
