Handle Durability

Battery Life

I am now in my 3rd year of use around my home and pasture. I have not experienced any of the issues indicated before this review and the sprayer has worked flawlessly in all types of weather and outside conditions. I would highly recommend it to anyone with the need.

4gal backpack sprayer

dewalt.com

I use this sprayer to pre emergent and post emergent and the battery power makes spraying almost effortless I will never spray with a pump up sprayer again, I find it a little irritating that people have written on the reviews that they can not believe there is not a manual available online. It is a sprayer there is not much to it one review mention that he sprays pre emergent and there is no manual. If you want some a manual to tell you much chemical to use then you have no business sprayer anything. If you are unable to calibrate the sprayer then hire a professional. I calibrated the sprayer in less than ten minutes and i have it set spray the exact square footage that need.

Awesome Sprayer

I have used this product three times and it performed as expected. Many reviewers have had negative impressions of this sprayer (leaks, plastic parts easily shearing.). Mine has performed as advertised. I wish completely draining the tank at the end of use was easier.

OK with three uses

Bought this brand of sprayer for a couple of reasons. 1) I have other DeWalt tools so I have plenty of batteries and chargers. Why can't you buy this as a "bare tool" - without the battery and charger? 2) DeWalt typically makes good stuff ( sorta pay for the name too).
I've sprayed 4-5 tanks and so far, so good. Seems balanced, easy to reach controls, comfortable spray wand. PSI is enough to reach the tops of most of my trees.
Worst part: the description says padded backpack straps! Not spec of padding on them. They are wide, which on my smaller, female shoulders helps but ouch. Even a little padding would help. Maybe add little padding for your back too.

Sprayer worth the money (?)

Used for the first time yesterday. It works great, but it has a couple problems.
1. It needs a well for the filter in the tank. It can't use about a quart of material. This could be easily fixed with a well.
2. It isn't fro 6ft tall people. The wand is WAY TOO SHORT. It will kill your back bending over to make the stupid wand reach.

Not for tall people

Dewalt

I loved everything about this sprayer when I first purchased it. I took great care of it washing it with warm soapy water after every use to keep it in like new condition. Shortly after purchasing the sprayer it started to slowly drip and leak from the sprayer wand. Not long after that the wand would no longer shut off at all and it was either all on or all off(switching battery on or off). I have had no luck finding any replacement parts to repair the wand. I've seen many other similar complaints online and figured I could hopefully save someone some money and avoid purchasing this product. If it was more easily serviceable with parts readily available(on the shelf), I would have quietly purchased the parts and repaired the equipment myself.

DXSP190681B

worked great for the 1st hour. Pump would not keep up pressure to spray. Really sucks having to wait 20 seconds for a few seconds of spraying while wearing 3+ gallons on your back. 2 hr job turned into 4. returning it and buying the commercial version

pump failed to keep pressure

I have other dewalt products that are fine but the battery backpack sprayer has trouble. The handle leaks i only used this 4 times now I can't spray with it the water gushes out the sprayer handle. Surely it should last longer than 4 3 gal tankfuls

Bad leak

I've had it about 12 months and this is the second season using it. The hose clamp on feed hose keeps popping off I finally put a regular hose clamp on it but not sure how long it will last.

Bad Quality
