It works quite well. We have a 4 year old special needs grandson who wears a size 6 diapers and they fit well in the genie as well.  So it isn't just for infant diapers.

This diaper genie is a great hands free option which is exactly what we were looking for. We went with the metal option in hopes it wouldn't hold odors over time like the plastic will. It looks really nice especially compared to the older plastic versions. It is quite a bit larger so holds more, meaning less frequent emptying, yet is still very compact. The refills come loaded in the bottom and are so easy to reload. There is no tying the top and bottom of the bags or cutting the bags like the other versions with the round bag inserts, only the top ties which is so great. The diapers go straight down into the bag without having to stick your hand down in to push the diaper in which is the best part.

I am in love with this NEW Diaper Genie Platinum pail. Pail is Stainless Steel and very durable. It has the New easy roll refills, which I love! The refills go right into the bottom of the pail and pull though the top. Great user experience. The pail holds a ton of diapers. We keep this pail in our master bedroom for when we need to change our son in the mornings and on weekends and there is no smell in our master, like ever! I would highly recommend this pail to any Moms and Dads!

im usingbthisnfor puppy instead of a baby. mybdog has small bladder and other health issues.  the small carbon for odor falls out all the time annoying.  but its 1st week. so much better than kitchen trash. that was super gross. no bany just a pom pom with some issue's being the runt. she is adorable.  not easy adjusting to pee pads but she is worth it.  so far odor control has been good but the carbon filternis not going to cut it.

It's way smaller than the previous one even though it said it was larger and the lid already broke and I haven't even had it a month. Also does not lock out the scent like it says
