These are a great short for the handy guy around the house. Comfy, the right amount of pockets.
I do wish they would quit discontinuing styles I liked. It's a bit annoying.

Perfect shorts

The belt loops are place well on the front of the pant, I don't have to fight them getting my belt on. Also the pockets are very accessible especially when i have my phone holster and gun holster on. Absolutely will buy many of these pant. Comfort is off the chain. Material is truly durable.

Best Carpenter Shorts Ever

Dickies shorts

Great fit, perfect style for hard working people that need comfort and flexibility and endurance! These hold up to hard flooring construction work. Once I found these, he will accept nothing less! Expect greatness!

Expect and receive greatness!

Great pair of shorts, run a little long but very comfortable and  wash well. Great amount of pockets. The only thing I would change is upgrade to a metal revet button or metal clasp. Plastic button no good

I like the shorts ,but specifically bought the over cathartic in the past because they had 7 belt loops instead of 5.
  This order they only had 5.

Although these shorts are constructed well and look good, I do have a few issues that prevent them from being a favorite.  I take some of the blame because they were described as fitting below the hip and I did not take heed.  They do indeed fit below the hip and that makes them a bit uncomfortable.  I am not sure why Dickies would tailor them to fit so skimpy for a working man.   That fit is a fail.  The fabric itself seems a little too light weight in my opinion.  Lastly, though with most jeans I don't like that the coin pocket is not deep enough, on these shorts the coin pocket is huge and makes retrieving items in that pocket difficult.  I did like the stretch material on the waistband though.

Well Tailored but Fit Isn't What I Expected

I bought these not realizing that their "Flex" material is stretchy and not 100% cotton.  They stretch and fall down.  this stretchy material is like the pants my mother wore when she was in her 70's.  The length is way too long--reaching below my knees.  Whoever came up with this Flex idea ought to be fired.  The last 3 pairs of non Flex shorts I bought were too long and I had to take them to a tailor to be shortened.  It's sad that I can longer find the Dickies items that I've bought over the last 20 plus years.  I've given up, it was a good run while it lasted.

"Flex" material is stretchy, not 100% cotton.
