I put one of these in my garage with the intent to keep the area mild { around 50 degrees}. The heater does everything I want it to. The area being heated is a two and a half car garage with 11 foot ceiling. I have installed several of these for some of my HVAC customers. By the way, I live in a cold climate.

Great product for the money

I have a 12x20 wood she's, not insulated. The temp was 50 degrees and in 20-30 meetings had reached 70 degrees. Yes, I already had a 220v so do know that this is required before purchasing. It is worth the cost of getting an electrician to install.

Exactly what I wanted!

I installed the heater in a small workshop. It is very easy to install and keeps the workshop at an even temperature. For the price it is a very economical alternative to any other options. I have no problem recommending the product.

very happy with the heater

Very solid construction and ease of mounting. Throws out the heat good and mine did not make much noise at all that some criticized it of. Great buy for the price.

Great Heater

Easy to install after you have the outlet. Great price way cheaper than I found on ebay or a large tool company in fact $35 less.

Installed in my attached 2 car insulated garage in Buffalo heats garage to a comfortable temp pretty fast even if its 0 outside 40 deg feels good.

DIMPLEX 4000W GARAGE HEATER

Works great heats up my 1000 sq ft basement in about 15 minutes. Easy install.

Not to big and bulky

Heats our 2 car garage well, but when it heats up it rattles really loudly. Also uses a special plug, so you also need to purchase and install that, it runs on 20 amps so be sure to know your panel.

Garage Heater

I purchased this heater using the mobile app, and maybe that is what caused my problem. The mobile site does NOT indicate anywhere that the heater is a 220 volt unit that uses a P5R (?) plug. I ordered the heater to use in my garage, specifically because my garage does not have easy access to natural gas, or the electric panel. In order to wire an outlet to use this heater correctly, I would have to run a line directly from the fuse box (with a new 20amp breaker) to the new outlet (which is a 220v outlet that only allows plugs like this heater has). I was unable to do this without hiring an electrician, which completely defeats the purpose of this heater for me. I will stick with my 110v ceramic garage heater instead, even if it doesn't work as well.

I cannot give a good idea of how the heater actually works, as I was never able to use it and had to return it immediately. I wanted to post this review so that others would not make the same mistake that I did.

220 volt, special outlet required.

there is no way this heater can heat a garage. My garage is a one stall garage 14 foot by 28 foot and it would not heat it at all. I have 110 regular space heaters that blow more heat than this one did. I obviously returned it because I was not satisfied. I would not recommend this heater for anyone.

I don't recommend this heater

The fan has an annoying rattle and is now a pain for me to take it down and return it for another that may have the same problem.
