I am the typical last minute guy Christmas shopper and this year was no exception. I had found an antique music box I'd just sent to my fiance and then thought, Wow! Something similar (except not an antique obviously) would be perfect for my 8 year old grand daughter for Christmas. By now it's only 4 days before Christmas so I was in a bit of a panic. I checked Walmarts website, and not only did it look perfect but it, was in stock for immediate pickup at the store closest to my work. It's roughly 9 inches tall and comes with 2 characters that spin on the top. One is, of course, Tinkerbell and the other is Wendy, a ballerina. It is front and center on my grand daughters dresser, and she loves it!!! Naturally it being so close to Christmas the line at the service center inside the store took forever because of obnoxious people returning stuff already and the employees themselves didn't seem that familiar with retrieving stuff purchased online. I had to wait for a supervisor to arrive thusly holding up the single line with a dozen or more people even more. But the music box itself is *PERFECT!*, the price was excellent and my grand daughter loves it. I would recommend it highly.

I couldn't decide which one to get so I got both jewelry boxes for my granddaughter, both are very lovely and I am sure she is going to love them both after all, a woman can never have too many jewelry boxes especially for all our gorgegous jewelry. Thanks Guys and God Bless!

Disney Fairies Musical Jewelry Box

This was purchased for my neices four year old daughter as a chritmas gift.She loved it her reaction was that it was her best chritmas present ever!

Best christmas present ever!

I bought this for my 4 yr old daughter. She loves it! She plays w/it all the time. She keeps little treasures and jewelry in it. It doesn't hold alot but she doesn't care. She plays with both dolls when not using the jewelry box.

Great gift

Excellent representation of the "Wendy's Music Box" from the Disney children's classic "Tinker Bell," and at a very reasonable price. A few things of-which purchasers need to be aware are; 1) After you get the toy out of its packaging, put new Alkaline batteries in it immediately. The music will be significantly louder. 2) Other reviewers have complained the music was way too short. This is because, if you look on the bottom of the base, there is a small, two position switch, labeled "Try Me" in one position (which is where you find it), and "On" in the other. You MUST put this switch in the "On" position. In that position, the music will continuously play until you either depress the little ladybug button a second time, or, until you lock the secret compartment....AND, the ballerina (or Tink, whichever one you decide to have on the platform) will actually dance in a circle while the music is playing. 3) You will note you can interchange Tink with the ballerina, but the movie one has the ballerina on it, so for my Granddaughter, I chose to Dremel-tool the little nub on the bottom of Tink's base flat, so she could either set alongside the box, "watching," or be hung from the ceiling with a piece of mono filament (fishing) line, as if to be flying over the box. All-in all, for around $20.00, this is a hit from WalMart and Disney! I am extremely happy with its presentation and performance. Thank You!

Need to know info for buyers....

This was a gift for a young girl, and she loved it. Easy to play by pushing a button, no
need to have an adult wind it up to play the music.

I believe my three year old will love this but it had been opened and moving around where the ties were taken off.. However, the toy itself will be a hit. There really isn't any room much to store jewelry or much of anything due to the music box taking up so much space. I don't think it will be a problem. The figures do come off and that's great for my little girl.

Good but....

I bought this for my 3 year old grand niece as one of her gifts for Xmas. She fell in love with it as soon as she saw it. She recognized Tinkerbell immediately. I gave her two older sisters the old fashioned wind-up musical, balarina jewelry boxes but, I thought this one would be easier to use since you just press a button to play Wendy's theme song and watch Tinkernell or the interchangeable balarina dance once the button is depressed. It didn't take her long to figure out how the music box works. She even knew where to put the key to unlock the box. Unfortunately, the plastic necklace broke almost as soon as she unwrapped her present. I would have given this five stars if it were not for the necklace breaking. The fact that it is battery operated makes it easier for a 3 year old to operate it as opposed to winding it. The batteries are already included and installed. The jewelry box is ready to be given without having to look for batteries. It is a lovely, whimsical musical jewelry box to be given as a first jewelry box to a little girl. When she is older, I'll get her the old fashioned wind-up kind like I got her sisters. Until then, this will give her a lot of enjoyment until her parent's have to replace the batteries. I know I can count on Walmart to eventually get her a wind-up musical jewelry box; for, that's where I bought two of them for her older sisters' also affordably priced.

Great Xmas Gift for a 3 year old!

I bought this for my daughters 5th birthday. She loves it especially since you can switch out the ballerina for Tink. The only problem that I have with it is that for the inside its just a bowl. There are no inserts for rings and stuff like that.

The music was real poor quailty it was more of a whine than music. It doesn't have much space due to music box in lid.
