This mermaid is beautiful and works great! It is water activated, so just place her in the water and she swims. She has 2 sensors on the front so they have to touch the water in order for to swim. She is brand new right now, but I will update if we run into any issues down the road. The pictures online do not do her justice...she is very pretty with bright red, soft, beautiful hair. My daughters love her!

Purchased for my 5 year old Great Grand Daughter for Christmas,  she spotted it when I opened the shipping box, She got so excited that I had to give it to her.
 She loves it.

Swimming Ariel Doll.

I bought this toy for my 4year old granddaughter. From the moment she saw it, she was excited. She absolutely loves the swimming mermaid doll. She puts her in the tub with her, plays with her out of the tub, loves her long luxurious hair. Combs it, pit barrettes in it. This is one of her favorite toys.

I purchased this for my daughters birthday in September , two months later and it's still holding up pretty well. She has soft , shoulder length red hair . My daughter likes to brush it and loves , the color is very vibrant . Most water toys that require batteries get me a little worried , just in case something happens . This doll has little sensors on the front of her waist ,we tested the tail in a bowl of water before she took it in the tub with her . Her tail moved nicely and it was a bit loud  but nothing to stop her from playing . I had to put my own batteries in after bringing her home from the store .so make sure you have batteries ! My daughter pretty much plays with her each time she is the bath , she has started slowing down a little . I just may have to replace the batteries soon . Overall,  very cute doll and little child that enjoys mermaids this doll would be a blast for them . She has other mermaids that she plays with as well in the tub and makes them have swimming contests and jumping contests . She really likes this dolls and it has been durable these last two months . I am happy with the purchase and the quality.

I bought this as a gift for my 3year old granddaughter. She was excited to receive it but it was missing the purple fins

Disappointed

It doesn't quite live up to hype of the commercial but it will make an Ariel lover happy.  I wish the tail fun didn't come off - it frustrates my kids and of course the hair doesn't look too pretty after lots of baths. But, again, ok overall especially since received as a gift.

Good for Ariel lover

i bought this for.my daughter for.xmas 2018. shes used it a handful.of times as the first couple.times.it disnt function and then it did and didnt again. then it started to randomly go.off in the middle of the night and scare us all. im.so.disappointed since at 4years old that was the only thing zhe acrually asked for.from.santa :( so.diappointed..

faulty

Stopped working after one week. I feel bad for my daughter because she saved up her money to by it.

Broke After One Week

Worked great for a few mknths.  Stopped workong, figured it was time to change the batteries.  When I removed the battery cover, the batteries were swimming in water.  Screws were tight, the seal to the battery compartment is just imadequate.  Big waste of money and extra tears from a sad little girl when I couldnt âfix itâ.  Thanks Hasbro for a poorly designed toy.

Battery compartment leaks

I am not sure how this is meant to be played with in the water.  There was no seal to keep the battery compartment dry.  The electrical components fried then rusted.  For safety purposes this was disposed of.
