This is really an adorable toy. This story is so cute and crazy too! My little 2 year old niece received the whole Princess Sophia items for Christmas. The Talking Amulet too. I just had to order one for myself to wear when her and i are together. I took a picture of me wearing it and she got the biggest kick out of it. It has cards you slide into it and they say different saying pertaining to being a Princess. She thinks she is ALL THAT when wearing hers, I try to feel the same way!

Beautiful Item for a Princess

We ordered this for my two year old daughter who is obsessed with Sofia the First. She has all the accessories, and this completes her look. It's a perfect addition to any Sofia collection. The lessons are very cute and short, allowing my daughter to be able to recite them easily.

Great Addition To Sofia Collection

The amulet is quite large. It measures about 3 and a half inches long and I found it a bit heavy. My three year old hasn't complained and doesn't seem to mind. When you press a blue button on the amulet, it plays positive phrases in Sophia's voice. You can hear additional phrases by inserting the cards that are also included with the amulet. However, the card reader is sensitive and does not always read the right phrase. Also, the necklace clasp comes loose every once in a while. To avoid losing it, I recommend reinforcing it. My daughter loves her amulet and she plays with it daily. It is the perfect accessory to make your princess feel like Sophia.

Cute, but heavy.

My daughter loves this. I didn't think she would wear it because it was so big but she wears it all of the time. This is our second one we bought because the paint chipped on the front of the first one from being scratched up. The chain is challenging. It is cheap, hard to open and the little clasp on one end always falls off. I just put the amulet on another necklace and that solves the problem. Overall the quality is pretty bad but the Sofia lover will love it and that makes it worth it.

The amulet is pretty large for a small child but is very pretty. The biggest disappointment is the amulet/card feature. Yes, if you put the card in the amulet it talks. However it isn't reading the actual card. The amulet is going through it's preloaded recordings in the order they were loaded so this doesn't help a child read a card or hear it read. Very confusing for a child who is learning how to read. Also the cards are difficult for a young child to insert while wearing on their neck. Parents will have to help them. Overall it's cute product, decent price and my girl still loves to look like Sofia with her dress and heels on. Adorable!

Sofia Amulet - Tricky Advertising

It is definitely Sophia's amulet! It is rather large for a smaller child. My daughter was thrilled to get it but cried when it broke just hours later. The "chain" broke quickly, the clasp was hard to open & close. The card reading function worked well for the first few tries but then became difficult for her to get it to read after.

It's rather large & bulky

I ordered this of course for Christmas for my daughter; I found it in the store after ordering mine and when I looked at it in person it just looks very cheap...the manufacturer could have done a MUCH MUCH better job with the materials used - the colors and idea is great but this is ALL that shiny silver plastic...not worth the price at all. I'm sending it back.

Not for a child over 3 in my opinion

I bought this for my granddaughter. This was the second one I purchased for her. The first one broke. This one broke within an hour of her receiving it. I was there and I know she was not rough with it. I returned it. I will not try again.

Poorly made

I bought 3 of these for my three granddaughters and none of them worked. They were so disappointed and so was I. I paid more than I wanted to and then they didn't work. My son-in-law who is an engineer got it to work a little. The batteries were corroded and he had to scrap it off for it work some. To replace the batteries would cost around 7-10 dollars. So my granddaughters have a amulet that does nothing.  Very sad. If you are smart you will not sell their toys again.
