Another 5 star book by Elizabeth Goddard. Action paced, suspense filled and a hint of romance. There is a perfect touch of the authors Christian beliefs that come through but are not overpowering. I always look forward to new releases by this fabulous author. Don't Keep Silent is definitely my favorite out of the series. This was book three of the Uncommon Justice series.

Rae Burke just received the phone call that no one wants to receive, her sister-n-law is missing. Her brother Allan, and Zoey's husband, called her to ask for her help to find her. Rae is an award winning journalist and is very good at research, he felt if any one can help find her it is Rae. But Rae figures out very quickly that she will need help. There is only one person that she would even consider contacting. But she is not sure he will be willing to help her in light of how their first encounter went.
Liam McKade just wants to melt into his ranch and work on finding peace for his life and soul once again. So when Rae shows up asking for help to find her sister-n-law, he really wants to run. He almost lost his life the first time around with her. And his heart is still not completely healed from her. 
But he would rather help her than hear that something happened to her and have to live with that. So he agrees.

This was a very good story and as usual with Elizabeth's stories, I did not want to see it end.

Grabs your heart and does not let go.

I have enjoyed Elizabeth Goddards series, Uncommon Justice. The third installment, Don't Keep Silent, does not disappoint. It is probably my favorite of the series. Even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.



Dont Keep Silent has a long that I enjoy to read in a book. It has suspense filled mystery, page turning action and sweet romance. I thought it was a great read from start to finish.



I am giving Dont Keep Silent a very well deserved five plus stars. I believe readers who enjoy romantic suspense. It is one not to be missed.

Don't Keep Silent

Dont Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in her Uncommon Justice series. Investigative Reporter Rae Burke is on the trail of her missing sister-in-law when she has to ask former DEA agent Liam McKade for help. This story takes you into the back country of Jackson Hole, Wyoming during the winter. Where you not only have to battle the elements but all the bad guys that are hot on your trail looking for revenge! Rae was always trying to measure up to her late fathers memory. His motto seemed to be if you see an injustice Dont Keep Silent do something about it! This was a great edge-of-your-seat thriller with some difficult topics addressed. Liam and Rae both had to forgive the things from their past to be able to move on with their future.  I really enjoyed this book.

What follows is an intense, action-packed drama set in the beauty of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Rocky Mountains, and some of the scenes with the ski slopes will simply take your breath away! There is adventure, danger, an undeniable chemistry between Rae and Liam, and a faith-filled message that will warm your heart and offer you thoughts to ponder!

Exciting Twists

Elizabeth Goddard continues her Uncommon Justice series  and the McKade brothers saga  in Dont Keep Silent, a story about finding your voice and fighting for whats right.

When freelance journalist Rae Burkes sister-in-law, Zoey, goes missing, Rae is thrown back into the path of her former love interest Liam McKade, an ex-DEA agent whose cover was blown by Rae during a trafficking bust.

But as Rae and Liam work together to find Zoey, and to determine if her disappearance has anything to do with the former trafficking case they both worked on, they find their relationship blossoming again.

With just the right touch of romance, Dont Keep Silent is a thrilling suspense ride that keeps the reader guessing, with lots of twists and turns, nonstop action, and misdirections. Goddard develops many great characters, including the deeply relatable Rae and Liam, an adorable little girl named Callie, and some diabolic villains.

Besides a thrilling plot, Dont Keep Silent also reminds us of some good thought provoking lessons, like the importance of waiting for God to open doors and finding your home. It draws incredible focus on the evil human trafficking issue.

A major theme of this book, indicated by the title, is knowing when to remain silent, and when to speak up. It reminds us to speak for those who cant speak for themselves; keeping quiet about wrongdoing is just another form of evil; and the implications of what can happen when we keep silent.

The third in the series, technically this book could be read as a standalone, but Id highly encourage you to check out the series first two installments, Never Let Go and Always Look Twice.

Fans of authors like Carrie Stuart Parks, Lynette Eason, Lisa Harris, Patricia Bradley, Sandra Orchard and Terri Blackstock will truly enjoy this novel.

Knowing When to Speak Up

Trouble seems to follow the McKade brothers, considering their occupations in law enforcement and Liam is no exception. In fact, investigative reporter, Rae Burke, and Liam were in much danger in the operation that made Liam want to retire from the DEA. Close encounters with evil go hand in hand with those who choose to help others. But some things you DONT KEEP SILENT. 
Rae is looking for her friend, sister-in-law, Zoey. She enlists help from Liam and they find themselves getting deeper in a mystery. It is hard to know who to trust and how to keep loved ones safe. The McKade family and Rae and her brother clearly rely on God to see them through tough times. 
This was a riveting read that did not let up on the excitement. In addition, you could almost see the beauty of the Wyoming mountains, feel the bite of the snowy winter weather and hear the whine of the snowmobiles. It was a page turner that was easy to get caught up in.

Riveting read

Elizabeth Goddards Dont Keep Silent is the perfect ending to the Uncommon Justice series! With stunning mountain backdrops setting the scene and hunky cowboy law enforcement types, theres excitement on many levels in these books.

Goddard knows just how to keep the suspense building in Dont Keep Silent, too. Every time I thought I had the plot and the players figured out, shed throw another wrench into the works. I enjoyed the way she spiraled the action deeper and deeper, keeping the intrigue fresh and the reader wondering.

Zoeys character drew me in from the very beginning. You cant help but feel bad for a sad girl wanting her missing mommy and the hurting husband whos trying to keep things together for her. I wanted everything to work out well for them both, but that seemed less and less likely as I read deeper into the story. I love the red herrings that Goddard threw out there to keep the reader guessing  Dont Keep Silent definitely ruled the series in that regard.

Rae and Liam were complicated characters, and thats part of what made them so great. Theyre both fighting their own demons, and those demons have some similarities. Add that to the fact that they have a complex past together, and they make for deep story leads. I would have liked a flashback scene since their past influenced this story so much; that would have helped me to understand their past and its forward connections more fully. Of course, then Goddard couldnt have dribbled out information in quite the same way, so maybe this way is best, but I do love those pieces that really grab the reader and superglue the two plot lines together.

Dont Keep Silent was one of those stories that made me simultaneously want to read faster and slower as I neared the end; I couldnt wait to find out what happened but didnt want the story  and the series  to end. Ill definitely be rereading this one.

Although the preview that Goddard included of the first book in the next series sounds amazing. If you like mystery/suspense stories where the setting plays a key role, youll want to get the first book in her new Rocky Mountain Courage series pre-ordered as soon as possible!

All in all, if youre a fan of suspense, you wont want to miss Elizabeth Goddards Dont Keep Silent. With lots of action scenes, likeable characters, and as many plot twists as the ski slopes it features, its the perfect pandemic read.

Perfect Pandemic Read!

While she'd never been a big fan of silencekeeping quiet about wrongdoing was the worst kind of evil in her opinion. ~Rae

I was looking forward to getting to know Liam McCade when he was first introduced in Always Look Twice.  Trying to find his way after leaving the DEA, he runs into Reagan Burke, the investigative reporter who almost cost him his life. But how could he resist helping her find her missing sister-in-law when she asked? Maybe his heart hadn't healed after all.

What I always like about Goddard's writing is she keeps your nose to the pages with her fast-paced stories. This one picked up speed after about the halfway mark, but that certainly doesn't mean it was slow up to that point. She laid the foundation for a good story-line in the first half so that the reader could anticipate what was going to happen. Kind of like watching a scary movie where your adrenaline was pumping hard! I liked these characters, they had depth to them and I think Goddard did a great job of making them seem real. There's a good balance of suspense and romance; I loved watching it play out between Liam and Rae. They have a lot to overcome, killers to catch, death to defy, danger to avoid and a missing person to find. Oh and the scenery was breathtaking! I'm not a skier but I could see the beauty of cowboy powder, the fresh snow on top of a mountain, undisturbed with an undercurrent of danger that Goddard included. The bitter cold and snow just added to the already tense story; I could literally feel it in my bones! 

This book is labeled as Christian fiction and I found it to contain a very light faith thread. I guess maybe I'm different than some readers in the fact that I like it stronger in the stories I read. But this did contain enough of an element that you could tell both Liam and Rae did serve God
