I bought this for my daughter. She loves it. Easy to put together and took less than an hour. This is real solid wood that is stained and coated with urethane. I looks absolutely great and seems very solid. This daybed totally exceeded my expectations.

What a great Daybed!

This is a terrific product. Color is beautiful and the finish is excellent. Assembly instructions were clear and everything went together smoothly. First night of sleeping was absolutely fabulous! Very sturdy too. I love that the slats are screwed into place and don't move around. We are very happy with the product.

Day Bed for everyone

This is a well constructed piece of furniture that looks great and is made of high quality materials. It is very sturdy and I'm sure it will last for many years. This is made in Vietnam and I've noticed lately that more and more funiture of high quality is being manufactured in Vietnam. (I recently also purchased a dining room table and chairs also made in Vietnam, as did my brother also.) All of this furniture from Vietnam appears to be of very good quality at a relatively low price. No, I'm not Asian... just observing a trend I've noticed.
As far as the assembly process, if you CAREFULLY follow the instructions step by step, you should be able to finish it in an hour or so - definitely a two person job though. If you don't carefully follow the instructions, expect to take it apart several times to correct the mistakes you made... like I did :-( . But the instructions are clear and the parts are well labled. When you're finished, you'll definitely have a very nice looking and very sturdy piece of furniture.

A Great Daybed

If you are one who never reads instruction manuals, Leave this alone. Once assembled
bed is large and not likely to move between rooms easily. Assemble in the area it will be used in.
We assembled in the room it was to be used in. It took 2 of us to complete this project. Do NOT unpack parts until they are called for in the instructions. All parts were in the box and the only tool necessary was in the box. Parts are clearly marked for the installation instructions. All holes are predrilled if unit is assembled exactly as instructed. It took 2 of us 63 and 65 years old about 4 hours to complete. This is not a 1 person job. Once done final product is large and heavy. Very sturdy built and capable of holding at least the 300 lb capacity. Probably more. We used 7 inch thick mattress after reading comments here. We have a VERY comfortable bed AND seating area. Great product but assembly is NOT for the impatient. We permanently attached included tool to bottom of bed since it will have to be disassembled to remove from the room. Once assembled there is NO way to get it out of the room without taking it apart.

Assembly is a Challenge

This bed comes in pieces in a long thin box, with all of the slats and pieces lengthwise in the box, with screws, bolts, and a tiny allen wrench on a sealed plastic-wrapped cardboard piece. You will need your own screwdriver, but no other tools. The ends were EASY to put together, but the side and base has to be done by two people. It will not stay in place to screw together unless one person continuously holds it. Also one of the starter holes was put in crooked, and not deep enough, so we could not get the screw to go in initially. Luckily it was the middle hole of 3, so it was the least essential. The slats are a little tricky to keep in place as one attaches the top to the bottom, as they are not individually secured. They slide into slots and are held in place by the top and bottom piece of each side, so are not secure until those pieces are screwed in place. Overall, however, it went together fairly quickly, and with more ease than some of the furniture I have purchased in the past.

Espresso finish looks good, and feels comfortable

I bought two of these daybeds for my sister and I to double as couches in our new apartment. Though setting them up was a bit difficult (we had never attempted to do something like that on our own) once we'd finished, we were very happy with the quality of the product and its appearance. They look just as they do in the picture.

Sturdy and very nice looking

The color of the actual bed is so different from picture. We got walnut and it is pretty light. We were going for a more dark color, like the picture. However, we kept it because it was quite a good price and good, solid quality. It's for our two year old that was transitioning from a crib to a big girl bed and she loves it. Overall, great deal.

Good product, but not as dark in color

I have built many pieces of furniture, including beds, and it's like they went out of their way to make this an awkward, difficult built, especially with all the little slats...but the finished product is nice looking and makes a very affordable and great bed for my son.

Pretty good affordable bed

I liked the bed and it wasn't too bad putting it together if you have real tools and an extra set of hands. My only concert is the weight requirement, I think it said it was 200 lbs and that scares me since I'm 185. So I'm guessing only one person can sit on it at a time

I had to write a comment about this daybed. Although I liked how it looked and the fact that it is wood, it only holds up to 225 lbs ! NOT good ! So, only 1 1/2 people could probably sit on it?
I had to send it back and ordered the Rebecca metal daybed, holds up to 600 lbs., now that's more like it :o)
