I got this foundation to go with my new mattress. I was a bit taken back when it arrived in a box for me to put together. I put it together alone and it was fairly simple.

So far looks sturdy, came in approx 3' X 5' x 0.5' box approx weight 45lbs

Easy to assemble and sturdy

I never know they made all metal box springs. This comes in a small box and I (a woman) assembled it myself in about 1 hour. It was really easy. I just looked at all the pictures and used only the tool that came with it and my screw driver. I wanted something quiet, since the wooden box springs are noisy. My son is a light sleeper and I hated waking him up whenever I got out of and into bed- there is only a small hallway separating the rooms. Well, this will never happen with this box spring. It is silent. It fit right into my full size bed frame and I placed my memory foam mattress right on top of it. I love this item and I don't see how you won't love it also.

So incredibly sturdy!

The box arrived in a timely manner from UPS. I noticed the bottom of the box looked somewhat rusty. When I started assembly most of the pieces had to be wiped down, as they had a fine coating of rust. It appeared to come from some of the welds. The finish wasn't affected, just annoying to have to deal with. Other than that, this foundation is rock solid and should last my lifetime. Overall. A good purchase at a good price.

Sturdy!

It''s a good solid foundation, however, you must have support legs on your rails, due to the weight causing it to sink in the middle. My husband and I combined weigh about 300 lbs I have a 12" signature sleep mattress, with rails connecting headboard to footboard, No supports were needed with a wooden innerspring foundation, but this metal one will give in the middle,if you don't have a frame with legs in the middle I had to purchase bed risers to use as supports. I don't like having them under my bed to collect dust. It would be good if the manufacturer could add some legs along the middle, maybe adjustable, to accomodate different bed heights. All beds don't have legs.Now that I've improvised, it no longer sinks in the middle and my bed sleeps great

Good foundation,but needs center supports

I purchased this because I have one for our other bed, I like that you can break it down and for the fact the thing is solid...never cared for traditional box Springs.. You will never see one of these laying on the side of the road. Make sure you have the room to assemble it, and double check those assembly instructions.

Steel mattress foundation

Just assembled the whole set. It took about 2 hours in total, from opening the packaging to complete assembly including the cover. Chose free home delivery and it arrived on time (Fedex). The packaging arrived in not good shape though. The box had decent amount of wear. One of the rod had a slight bend/ding. And the screws pouch had opened out but didnt lose any of the screws (it remained in the box). However was able to put it together. The minor bend in the rod did make it difficult to screw that piece. Assembly was not that difficult. I was able to put it together alone. It appeared sturdy. The Allen wrench provided is not of great quality, it almost weared off towards the end of the assembly. Being Metal this may work out better than wooden box springs. Havent had a chance to use it yet (waiting for the bed to arrive). I didnt hear any noise or anything but have to wait till I get whole bed put together. So far a good value for money but time will tell!

Appearance: Looks good and same as any other box spring. You cant tell unless you open the zipper.
Comfort: 3 star, can't tell until I start to use it. Will update after a week or so of usage.

Not hard to assemble

I bought this frame unseen online and received it at my home. I bought it to replace some old box springs that were used on my king size bed. The foundation came in pieces and had to be assembled. It was fairly easy to put together. It appears strong and I at this point are happy with the quality. Here is the problem: IT DOES NOT FIT ON MY KING SIZE BED. I have a standard king size bed frame attached to the headboard and foot board. This foundation does not reach all the way over to the other side of the bed where the frame attaches to the headboard. I was thinking that maybe my bed was an unusual size. I own a bed and breakfast so I had lots of king size beds to check the size on. They were all the same size as my original frame so the new foundation was not wide enough for them either. Luckily my husband is handy and he added an extra piece of metal along one side of my bed frame from top to bottom to support the foundation. This gave that side of the foundation something to rest on and solved the problem. I am not sure an ordinary person could do this though. You may be able to use a long piece of wood. Its a shame as its only off by about an inch but all sides of the foundation must rest on the bed frame.

quality good but to narrow for my kingsize bed

I was not able to get all the bolts connected because the holes do not line up correctly. I double checked the instructions and had someone else check them as well, everything was assembled correctly but 2 of the holes do not line up enough to use the bolts. It's been less than 2 weeks and I believe some of the bolts need to be tightened again. I can hear some clinking inside of it.

Difficult assembly

I have had this steel mattress foundation for two months. It was placed on a solid wood bed frame, and a foam mattress was on top. My mattress began to sink in the middle, and I though something was wrong with my mattress. I later noticed, it was not the mattress, but the metal frame. After I unzipped the cloth cover from the frame, the frame itself was completed bent. It had bent not vertically but horizontally as well. I unfortunately, threw the original box away, therefore am unable to return. I am really bummed, because that's $150 down the drain in a two month period. Do not buy this.
