It holds your hair in place but you can still comb and shape your hair during the day.  It makes it look thicker.  It washes out with every shampoo.  You can shape your hair into any style with this shaping putty.  I use this shaping putty every day and really like the way it makes my hair look and feel.  I highly recommend this shaping putty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to look good and slick back my hair when I have the time.  I've tried other brands before but this putty by dove is my new favorite. It's absolutely thick and does a great job actually holding the hair back.

Sticks and holds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this dove thick and full shaping putty for about a week now. When your using it it's easy to work into your hair and get the style your looking for and then once it sets it's holds all day which is always a plus.

Works great

My boyfriend really likes using the Dove Men Shaping putty for his hair. He has very kinky curly hair and this product makes it easier for him to pull it back in a bun. This product also makes his curls look very nice and moisturized. I would definitely recommend this Dove Men product to everyone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works great in short hair. When applied to short hair the product does exactly what it should do. I really like that you the putty doesn't leave that greasy feel neither on your hands or hair, the hold is really good and gives a natural/damp look with good shine. The only problem I found is it does not work good with long-Ish hair. I'm not talking about extra-long, just regular men long size is enough to make the product not provide enough hold, other than that no complains.

Good for short hair!

Guess I should have known… it arrived in liquid form and doesn't return to a homogeneous state.

Don't order in hot weather.

Product it self it's good, no complaint at all, I've tried from my friend's, and I like it, so I ordered online.
But it came broken, spilled everywhere, when i opened it and only half left
Im not refunding it because too much hassle, i have to go to post office which is far, or go to Walmart which is also far, it will waste more my time, energy and money
