I have used the Dove Volumizing Gel over the years as a means of holding my hair in place after styling it. Not only does this product do an excellent job in this respect, but there is also like no excessive odour or scent in using it as well.

I absolutely love this gel because of three reasons 1) I can't smell it once I put it in my hair. 2) it doesn't make my hands sticky with weird residue 3) and finally it holds my style all day. I use it mostly on the ends of my hair, but my hair is long, so have to cover quite a bit.  It leaves my hair sooth and tangle free, not so dry.  I get a lot of perms, so this is perfect for my try hair.  Helps tame it down.

I have thin hair and didn't notice that much extra volume but I liked that it didn't make my hair too crunchy and it was easy to style and set. I always trust Dove!

A great gel for doing mohawks or faux-hawks with my pixie length hair, but I'm not a fan of the shiny look as I feel it looks more greasy than anything. I think a matte looking product would be preferable for me, but it all depends on what you want.<br />

I've been using this in the palm of my hands and then spritzed with equal parts water and then all mixed together and applied to my hair to use as a styler.  I switch between different kinds of stylers all the time, and like to use this gel one on days after just cleaned hair (b/c that's when it's most unruly and all over the place).  So this is more effective and forceful to use against my frizz on bad days.  It's not the best scent, in fact it's not as noticeably scented as other sprays and mousses to begin with.  I water it down to have a lighter application of it and not have as much crunchiness.

It didn't do much for my hair, unfortunately.  My hair looked flat and dull. Maybe I need to use more of it...?
