Price, quality, base release. This is the second for my boat. Good size for all the lakes around Central Oregon.

Best buy.

walmart.com

It is a good downrigger for the price and it shipped to me right away. I buy from Walmart on line a lot.

Great .

Lake troll

The downrigger has a major flaw. The counter at the end of the boom has plastic gears, they fell out when I tried to put it together. Cannon would sell more downriggers if they eliminated the counter on the boom, and only had the counter at the wheel. Also they should mount the wheel head permanently on the end of the outrigger rod before sending units out.

bad end counters !!!

cannon downrigger 1901250 Lake-Troll downrigger with vertical spool and clutch/brake system, 18" co‑polymer boom pre-spooled with 100' stainless cable, quick-mount tab-lock base, swivel-head depth counter, line release and tube rod holder; often used to hold tackle steady while trolling from a small boat.
