I have to say it fell short of expectations, even after the other reviewer's warning.  Like the first reviewer I am a Dr Teal's fan girl.  This item; however, needs improvement.  The smell is aromatic in the box, but once in the shower it completely dissipates to where it's undetectable.  I tried using two, same result.  I tried adding my own essential oils to it and could barely smell those (5 drops of Camphor and 6 of Lavender).  Perhaps shower tablets simply can't deliver.  I've tried other brands and even making my own and all have fallen short of the mark.  I think for these to have a good effect the shower would need to be completely enclosed.  Mine goes up 8 feet and then there's another 2 foot opening to the ceiling.  I believe there's too much air for the tablet to permeate and instead of delivering headache-easing goodness it wanes in the generous air flow.

The aroma itself is nothing like real lavender - it's more like the perfume interpretations of lavender.  It's still an appeasing scent, it's just not anything like the lavender body wash, which to me is a true lavender odor.

The tablets did last almost for the entirety of a 10-minute shower.  I placed them in the water gathering on the shower floor.  I also tried moving them up to the ledge, closer to my nose, but even that didn't increase the potency of the scent.

As a foot bath they may work - that's suggested in the instructions.  As a shower tablet I'd skip this product.

Missed the Mark

I am a huge fan of Dr. Teals products, but these were a disappointment. I put the melt in the area of the shower that water doesn't directly hit, and it still melted completely within one minute with very little smell. Sad!
