A daughter-father team, the authors Lena and Gunter Burkhardt combine a child-friendly story, a classic mechanism and intriguing material to a game adventure that captivates children time and again</li><li>Four young dragons and one dragon dad, try to get the most gems out of a ice column filled with them. Each round the young dragons will pick a gem color that they think will come out of the ice when the dad melts it</li><li>Once they have all picked the dad will pick up the top most ring, allowing some gems to fall off the tower to be collected by the young ones. There is also some holes in the board that if a gem falls in there, it goes to the dad and he may win</li><li>After all the gems that fell have been collected, the young dragons pick again what color they will collect and the next ring comes off. On one of their expeditions the dragon children Mira, Feo, Luna and Diego discover an unusual sparkling treasure: a column of ice with sparkling stones frozen inside it.<br>They want to take the treasure back to their cave. But unfortunately the column of ice is too heavy. The only thing they can do is to melt it. But breathing fire isn't as easy as it sounds. Instead of fire they only manage hot air. Then the four of them have an idea: they'll get their dad to help.<br>And it works! Dad's fire breathing starts melting the column, and little by little the sparkling stones start falling out. The dragon children quickly collect the valuable treasures, and take them back to their cave.<br>With a little luck even dad will get a few sparkling stones! Which dragon child will collect the most sparkling stones in their cave by the end of the game?

The instructions were easy to follow and it was nice that they gave options for fewer players and playing with small children. I liked it so much I bought another copy for a friend's kids. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My granddaughter and her new step-brother (both are 5 years old) come over to visit me all the time and get so bored with the toys I have here so I thought this might be a good alternative for them when they are visiting.  They love it!  It kept them occupied with no comments of "Grandma we're bored" or "grandma we can't find anything to do".  It was perfect for them at this age.  It helped to reinforce their counting skills too so they were learning as they were playing and didn't even realize it.  It helped that it was new and exciting unlike all the regular games they have.  I highly recommend this game for children their age.

Although the game is very colorful in design and materials, it falls short on challenge which makes it less interesting to play.
