Overall, I liked it for no other reason that to see my favorite characters animated, moving, & interacting somewhere other than my imagination. There were parts of the movie that I expect are on the cutting room floor that would have made this a much better story overall. My biggest complaint would be with the CGI dragons and draconians which left some to be desired, hoever I felt the 2D artwork for everything else was spectacular. I'm glad to own this movie and would love to see the other two books of the chronicles animated as well.

Being a DragonLance fan for so long, I was thrilled when I heard about a movie finally being made. Kiefer Sutherland, and Michael Rosenbaum are two of my favorite actors, and having them both doing voices for this movie made it even better.

At first I wasn't sure what to think about it being a cartoon, but the graphics are great and the movie followed the book as I had hoped.

My kids haven't started reading my DL books yet, but after watching this one, they've all been anxious to start. Can't wait to see if there's going to be another released!

Awesome that they put the best fantasy series to a movie, even though it could have been done better it is still good!

Excelent movie the only downfall is that they didn't finish the series.

The Brothers Majere

Even though on occasion the animation looks a little like a cartoon instead of animation, they were faithful to the spirit of the books and the role-playing games. I hope they continue to make the series. As they go along, I expect that they will get the dragons and draconian soldiers to match the rest of the characters, as far as rendition go.
Good choices for the voices for the Heroes of the Lance.

Glad it was made

I've read these books since they were new. I've read the original 6 three times. This movie was terrible. The animation looked like something thrown together on a weekend. The editing was about as bad as I've ever seen. Scenes just stop with a quick fade to black, then you're shot forward to a scene taking place hours or days ahead (in the book) like nothing happened. Just awful. I hope someone sees the sales and intrest in this movie and decides to do a decent version.

I wouldn't recomend this to anyone that has read the series. It's a total dissapointment!
