I really like this playpen as it is quick to set up and easy to move around from room to room. it can even be folded down flat for taking it in the SUV when traveling. The color is a good one and doesn't show dirt or wear and the mesh panels are a lot softer when the baby bumps into it, it's better than bopping his head on metal. The playpen is sturdy but lightweight enough that I can easily handle it by myself when I need it moved. It keeps the baby safe from pets and other toddlers and can even be used to keep the dog safe from adventurous children who manhandle her too roughly. This playpen is great for both indoors and out

With three kids and two dogs, we have a pretty full house! With this many bodies in one house, we definitely have to try to contain some of them, especially the toddler and the dogs!

My toddler Jax is at the exploratory age where he wants to touch everything, including things that are off limits because we don't want him to break them and/or we don't want him to get hurt!

There is one area in the house he just can't keep his hands off of and it's just not worth the constant battle. Making this area off limits was the best way to keep him safe and us sane! Our tv and fireplace are located right next to each other so we were able to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

I have seen different variations of play-pens but before now, nothing has appealed to me like the Brooklyn Converta!

This one is actually attractive to look at and I didn't know that was possible with baby gear! It has mesh panels that you can see through that add a certain decorative aspect to it.

When I put it up in front of my TV and fireplace, I actually liked the way it looked!

In addition to keeping the toddler out of certain areas, sometimes I need to contain my dogs. They bark at strangers so I have to lock them up when anyone comes over. This is when I convert to the play-pen area.

Since it also collapses and folds to a manageable size, I can also take it camping to keep the dogs with us but locked up.

There is a wide gate in the middle of it that also makes it ideal for easy entry as well as using as a long gate. I have a really wide doorway from our family room to the rest of the house so sometimes I put this in front of it and just use it as a giant gate to keep the dogs in the same room as me.

The gate has the double locking feature where you have to pull the top as well as lift up at the same time which makes it harder for the kids to escape!

Since I have multiple uses for it, I haven't attached this permanently anywhere but it does come with the hardware and extensions to do so if you want to attach it to a wall in a set area. Once my toddler gets a little older I may do this just to contain the dogs. For now I like having the option of moving it around to suit my needs.

Whether it's a child, a dog, or both that you need to contain, this Brooklyn Converta Play-Pen is an attractive way to safely provide a barrier wherever you may need it.

I was not aware of this brand, but I will be happy to search out for it whenever I do want to buy something again. I recommend this gate for families!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pleased with this baby gate/playpen. It is sturdy. I've only tried wood before this and I like the metal better than the wood. I like how it can be a playpen or a gate, and rather a long one too. I mostly use it for the gate but we use the playpen too. And the design is really nice it doesn't scream "baby furniure" its nice and rather elegant looking.

Happy Jail For The Babies!!!!

This is a really great baby gate. It can be a playpen or it can be a long gate. I currently use it as a play pen but plan on using it to cover a wide space in a little bit. I love how easy it is to set up. It comes almost fully assembled. All I had to do was decide if it would be a playpen or go from wall to wall. If you want it to go from wall to wall you attach some hardware to the wall and snap the gate onto it. There is an easy to use walk through gate that makes this perfect to cover a large space. I will use this in my dining room to section off the dog food so my kids don't get into it. Until then I am using this as a playpen. Using it as a playpen is simple. I snap the sides together and there it is! There is an easy to use gate when this is in playpen mode. The gate has bars, not the mesh. It is super easy to use, slide back the little top lever and you can easily open the gate and go through. It will automatically shut behind you. I love the mesh panels. My baby can see through but cant throw her toys through which is great. She likes to throw her toys where she wants to go. I received the tall one which is a nice height. My 11 month old who is in the 90% for height can not throw her toys over the top. Perfect!

I love how this folds for storage or to move it around. It folds flat allowing it to be stored in small spaces. This also lets me move it easily. In the car or around the house this makes moving it a breeze!

Overall this is a GREAT playpen! I love that it transforms from a playpen to a gate for a large space or a small space. This makes it last longer than a regular playpen. The design is great and the structure is great. It is very sturdy and should last for years to come! I would highly recommend this baby gate and play yard.

Wonderful gate!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Play-pen for my 4 month old to let her play on the floor. We have six children (including the baby) and 2 mastiffs. The play pen is perfect for allowing the baby to stretch out on the floor without getting trampled by the dogs and the other kids. One draw back of the play pen is size. I feel like it's just a tad small and as the baby grows, she's eventually going to be able to touch the sides of the play pen with her head and her feet at the same time...before she starts sitting and crawling. I do, however, like that the play pen can also be used as a gate. A very large gate if I use all the panels. Overall, I like the play-pen/gate. The things I have reservations about are minor and it works very well for what I need right now.

Works for my needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Little background, we have multiple kids in different age ranges and we wanted to use this for our youngest (< 1yr) to have some space without getting in trouble. We haven't had one of these in the past and wanted a little piece of mind while chasing around the older kids. Overall, the product hits what it is supposed to do but there are some areas where it is lacking. There isn't enough space with the out of the box configuration, I would have loved to see a couple additional panels to give more space. Next, moving it from room to room can be a pain. I see us using this sparingly as opposed to being a real life-saver. From a positive perspective, the materials they used in the product are of high-quality and are prepared for the wear and tear it will recieve.
