I've had the white and brown ones for over a year and I do fine detail work with dentures and firearms (a set for each) and I've had zero problems. These aren't wire wheels so you have to go light and slow. I never run them over 10k rpm. They're not made to work fast but they do work if you take your time and use light pressure. From the looks of the pics on here, looks like overspeed and overpressure are the culprits for failure.

Not sure why everyone has problems....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These wheels work very well as the first step in polishing copper, brass, and silver multi-layer assemblies with lots of nooks and crannies. Cleans up the fire scale from fabrication and lays a good base for the next step. Using the Dremel mandrel saves time in switching between tools.

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this 120 grit abrasive brush to remove some old RTV sealant that remained on a lawn mower carburetor that I removed for cleaning rebuilding. Someone had sloppily applied the sealant and I could not remove it all with a scraper. Using this brush at 10,000 RPM on my 8220, I was not only able to finish cleanup of the mating surface, but also to clean the adjacent crevices due to the excessive application. I was pleased with the results and the abrasive brush seemed none the worse for wear.

EZ Lock 120 Grit Abrasive Brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] EZ Lock Detail Abrasive Brush with 120 grit delivered a smooth sanding experience and an excellent finish. Using the EZ Lock system, it was easy to assemble and change out the brushes as I worked through the sanding process. Best results were achieved with a light touch, allowing the brush to do the work for me.  I had the opportunity to test three brushes (36 grit, 120 grit and 220 grit) and found all of them to do an excellent job of sanding and smoothing. It was easy to use the brushes and I got excellent results with all of them.

A suggestion to Dremel would be to identify the materials these brushes are designed for. I assumed they were to be used for wood applications, but there is nothing on the packaging to tell the user whether they are for wood, metal, plastics, etc.

Excellent Results, Easy to Use EX Lock System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to clean and sand off the old paint from a antique fan that I received to restore as a project. These little disc are impressive. It also has the EZ lock which I really like. One does not have to use the screwdriver to take them off.

Detail Brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use of the EZ 472SA 1” 120 grit abrasive brush. I sanded out the groves of an antler handle of a custom knife to reach the design ,and colors I desired for the project. I found the abrasive brush met the desired look I wanted on the project. The size of the brush was perfect for sanding out the groves and reach the professional look on the piece.

Use of EA 472 SA 1” Abrasive brush 120 grit.

I use the various rubber vane detailing wheels, but never know what the effect will be until it is too late, because Dremel never sees fit to publish the grit size of these wheels.

still haven't fixed the grit issue. just bought product and I had to google on which grit is for which wheel ez684-01.you would think after a year they would put it on the package,would be smart to me

easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great accessory for any Dremel tool. Worked great to get in the detail areas of a antique parlor chair I was refurbishing. It did wear out fairly quickly, so I would probably need to keep a few spares on hand. Will keep this one in my tool chest for sure.

Great accessory to add to your Tool Chest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the EZ472SA Abrasive Brush to be a great product. As with the 36 grit (EZ471SA) and 220 grit (EZ473SA)  product, the word "detail" should be removed from the description since these 1 inch brushes don't really meet the criteria for detail work. I found this 120 grit brush to adequately smooth the roughness left on my project after using the 36 grit brush. As with the other abrasive brushes, I would recommend speeds lower than 15000 rpm when using them due to vibration issues. Perhaps other users haven't had problems with vibration but I felt 15000 was much too fast to operate this sanding brush. All in all, I find that this brush, as with the 36 & 220 grit brushes, is an excellent product. I might add, however, that it would be great if somehow Dremel could stamp the grit on the product. Color-coding is fine for some, but I personally don't like to look at a chart to see what color I need to attach to my mandrel to use the proper grit. And a color chart is worthless if one is color blind.

EZ472SA Abrasive Brush is worth the money!
