<p>The Med Aire Alternating Pressure Pump and Pad System with Low Air Loss by Drive Medical provides alternating pressure and is designed to be used in the prevention, treatment and management of Pressure Ulcers. The bubble pad provides superior therapeutic treatment alternating which of the 130 individual bubble cells are inflated or deflated every 5 minutes, never placing too much pressure on any affected area. we run this pump 24/7 for the most part.  a few months ago I turned it off and it wouldn't turn back on for 24hrs.  Seems like maybe a fuse got hot(?).  then it worked fine for another few months and just did it again.  I turned it off for 20min and it wont turn on again.  ill see how it does. tomorrow.  plug is fine.  I plugged another device in to check it.

Short life

I bought this mattress overlay, hoping to use it on a business trip. It does what it says -- it does alternate pressure -- but it inflates the cells to the hardness of a diamond. Sure, the pump has an adjustable dial on it from soft to hard, but turning the dial made no difference. As a side sleeper, it was brutal on my rib cage, like sleeping on a bed of river stones. If the soft setting actually worked, it'd be a great product. As is, 1 star.
