This is my second Droll Yankee Flipper Bird Feeder in 6 years.  I simply wore my other one out, or should I say the squirrels wore it out.  If you want to have side splitting fun watching a bird feeder, this is the one you want.  It is the most entertainment you can have, watching squirrels trying to get on this feeder and find themselves being spun off.  I quickly say that this in NO WAY hurts the squirrel, but it sure saves a lot of food for the birds by keeping the feed a lot longer in this feeder.

My 6 year old bought a bird feeder with her tooth fairy money a few weeks ago. The squirrels destroyed it in 2 day--chewed a hole through the plastic and all. So I found this....the Yankee Flipper. It is Very well made.  Squirrels stay away from it. If one is dumb enough to jump on it I sure hope I'm around to watch. I really like the large capacity too.

Expensive but worth it.

Love this bird feeder.  It works for birds and not squirrels!  I got tired of wasting money on other bird feeders that would break within 6 months and decided to spend the extra money on this one.  Perfect!  It was worth the investment.  My birds are loving it as well.  I highly recommend this bird feeder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other bird feeders.  This one seems to be working the best.  It was a little more expensive, but worth it.

Its a little expensive but it really works. The squirrels have a hard time navigating it but they manage to get on it eventually, but not for long! Will probably recoup the price just in saved bird seed.

It works!

After years of battling squirrels in birdfeeders, this one is the last birdfeeder you will ever have to buy!  After just 3 days, the squirrels are practically trained not to go up the pole, or onto the birdfeeder.  If they do, off they go!

The squirrels have quickly learned to keep off of this feeder. They now only eat what has dropped on the ground. Works perfectly...no squirrels on the feeder.  Just be aware aware it uses a NiCad battery so you have to take a bit of care recharging to avoid losing battery life. Would prefer Li-ion.

Works great

Not many birds are visiting the feeder. They seem to have some difficulty getting seeds out of it. It holds a lot of seeds. It kept the seeds dry in a rainstorm. I have not seen a squirrel even try to get into it. There is so far little mess below the feeder.

Attractive feeder

I wanted this to feed shelled peanuts to pileated woodpeckers and stellar jays, while keeping squirrels off of it. The peanuts didn't flow to the feeder holes smoothly and the birds triggered the spinning mechanism. So, for me it was a fail. It was easy to charge and easy to attach to the base of the feeder. Other than not meeting my needs, it worked fine!

Not useful for peanuts for pileated woodpeckers
