I tried using this with the complexion rescue foundation stick... the velvet side worked nicely but I couldn't give it a 5 star review because I was incredibly disappointed with the silicon side. I think I'll be using a brush or my fingers to spread the foundation and then velvet side of this sponge for the finish.

I was recommended this applicator when purchasing the complexion rescue foundation as I was told it was the best way to apply the product. While I do find that the softer sponge side blends relatively well, leaving the "velvet finish" as stated here on the site, the silicone side is, in my opinion, obsolete, as it seems to only shift the product over my skin without aiding the blending at all - certainly not a "natural finish". 
In addition to this, the blender's shape with rounded corners appears suited to blending in the corners of the eyes. In reality, the seam where the sponge and silicone sides fuse feels somewhat sharp against the delicate skin around the eye. This is a small detail yet has nonetheless been an irritation with each use. 
Overall I would recommend not spending money on this product (though inexpensive it is overpriced) and sticking to brushes or other sponges.

I love the new foundation but this sponge is just awful.  I feel that it does not create a smooth effect and the edges are far too rough/ sharp for the delicate under eye area.  A waste of money and you would be better off just using your fingers.
