Duck Brand Standard Packing Tape

Simple and convenient to use without hassle.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to defects or misshaping.

Definitely one of Walmart's best bargains--and I've pretty much tried them all. I use it for EVERYTHING:  shipping boxes and never had a problem; long-term storage in hot, cold, and even damp environments; and to patch things like loose plastic on binders--and it has never let me down. If I had to dig deep to cite one problem, it's that the tape is so secure, that I sometimes have a tough time peeling an edge off of a box to remove it, which indicates to me that it's working as intended. 

Thought that I might be able to save, literally, a couple of pennies at the discount stores, but found that product to be far inferior and/or more often than not, more expensive when the numbers are crunched. 

Hint: it is a nuisance when it adheres to the roll because it's tough to get going again, but my work around is to place a penny underneath the edge and it's always ready to go--and without any waste. (And it's also a reminder that possibly saving a few pennies, is not worth it.)

Awesome, practical product that I probably need more than anything else I buy. Thank you Walmart and Duck brand!

this does not dry up and holds large boxes if packing it properly - it will stick and not be able to find your stick area but just fold it over before you cut your tape - i used this for packing my whole house that took me 3 months to do after heart surgery and i did pack a full trailer full of items and took rests between packing to go to another state there, there is no dispenser but the sturdiness is there and holding is there also because i used that tape to pack a 120 pound item and used not the whole roll but i wanted sturdiness and the adherence was just as good a name brands, you will be pleased with it

In my business all we do (mainly) is package and ship. I've always used this tape, and never ever had any complaints from recipients. So Yep, it does it job great and for the price you can't beat it, oh and it fits onto the packaging tape dispenser as if it was literally made for it, so Yeap, perfect.

Great!

Probably a case of you get what you pay for.   This packing tape was pretty cheap and next time i will pay up.  It's not strong and doesn't hold up while while trying to peal a strip off.   It kept splitting and was pretty frustrating trying to get entire (whole) pieces off to tape up my package.

You think you're getting a decent roll of tape that you can use on packages but this is really thin I had the heavy duty one and that was too sticky just wouldn't even stay on the boxes this one is so thin every time you pull it it just rips so now I'm on the hunt for another roll of tape. I used double the amount just to make sure it would stick to the box well.

It's not what you think

Horrible tape. Was disappointed initially because it was so much thinner than the last kind I bought. Immediately it was uncooperative and ribbed all the time. my project should have taken 1/4 of the roll. instead, it took half the roll, the ither half ended up stuck together and in the trash.

Junk

After you got past the starter tab if the tape touched itself it was nearly impossible to restart cuz it kept tearing it was so thin. the project I had was time sensitive so I ended up having to use a different kind of tape for the project.  I thought with it being a name brand that that flimsiness wouldn't have been an issue. I will always go with the heavy duty moving forward even though it's more expensive. the dispenser was great but the tape sucked!

My roll of this tape didn't work because the tape would split every time. Like 2 inches, then a split lengthwise - not across the width of the tape. I restarted the roll but it would rip every time. Of course it happened when I needed it most.

The tape splits and breaks when pulling from the dispenser worse than any tape. The tape is also very thin. My regular tape is solid and I have no concerns with it. 

I ship many items every week for years and I have tried a few brands. My regular tape was out of stock and this seemed like a logical choice. I actually thought I was getting better tape as it was less yards and more expensive. Boy was I wrong. The one I use comes in a blue dispenser. It's easy to dispense, it doesn't pull apart in your fingers, and it feels thicker and definitely more durable. This product here is one that simply should not be made.

Hard Pass. Pick the tape in the blue dispenser.
