Ease Of Tearing

Simple and convenient to use without hassle.

Can be sturdy, but also prone to defects or misshaping.

Should have bought the Duck easy start for a little more money. This one did what cheaper ones do and came off roll in strips, hard to peel the entire width off at one time. It did work well on the boxes once we got it off but was frustrating getting it off roll.

Go for the Easy Start

walmart.com

Probably a case of you get what you pay for. This packing tape was pretty cheap and next time i will pay up. It's not strong and doesn't hold up while while trying to peal a strip off. It kept splitting and was pretty frustrating trying to get entire (whole) pieces off to tape up my package.

doesn't come off the roll easily.

You think you're getting a decent roll of tape that you can use on packages but this is really thin I had the heavy duty one and that was too sticky just wouldn't even stay on the boxes this one is so thin every time you pull it it just rips so now I'm on the hunt for another roll of tape. I used double the amount just to make sure it would stick to the box well.

It's not what you think

This tape is extremely thin and difficult having on a roller. It kept slipping off the metal piece to keep it going on straight because it is so thin. The tape also didn't stick very well at all. I would not call this packing tape for boxes for moving. I would say you could use it to tape paper together or bubble wrap.

Thin and Flimsy.

The tape is tissue paper thin. It is unusable. It can not hold its shape and twists when attempting to place on items. It is essentially useless. You may be able to tape a 2 inch area before it twists whether using the appropriate dispenser or by hand. It will not hold a box together unless you tape over the same areas multiple times... but expect to throw away most of it as it collapses on itself %26 twists if you continue to dispense more than an inch or two which renders it unusable for packaging.

Paper thin, useless. Terrible. Do not buy

After you got past the starter tab if the tape touched itself it was nearly impossible to restart cuz it kept tearing it was so thin. the project I had was time sensitive so I ended up having to use a different kind of tape for the project. I thought with it being a name brand that that flimsiness wouldn't have been an issue. I will always go with the heavy duty moving forward even though it's more expensive. the dispenser was great but the tape sucked!

Horrible tape. Was disappointed initially because it was so much thinner than the last kind I bought. Immediately it was uncooperative and ribbed all the time. my project should have taken 1/4 of the roll. instead, it took half the roll, the ither half ended up stuck together and in the trash.

Junk

Do not I repeat do not buy this tape spend a little bit extra money and buy any other kind but that. This tape loses its spot to where you can't find the opening again and you will waste the entire tape having to be all and Evyn and not working properly. If I could message the people that put this tape out for sale, I would message them right now and tell them that they are ridiculous for having anybody by they're awful tape.

Worst tape ever

I know that duct tape is a famous brand and is used everywhere but when I bought this perhaps I got a bad roll.
it is a very cheap clear thin plastic tape that kept sticking to itself.
very hard to use but I couldn't waste it. I will not buy this brand again, specifically the clear plastic tape.

Worst packaging tape! Do Not Buy!!! It constantly pulls off in spindly little strips when it actually pulls off. Once you are half way through the roll, you have to yank the tape to get it to come off the roll. So much for only needing a small piece. Now I have 6”. It is also super thin. It barely holds on to cardboard. It doesn't hold onto plastic items, though it grips overly well to cellophane whether or not that's there you wanted it to go. It jumps there as if the cellophane and the tape are best mates. I should have just thrown the roll away. It's such a headache to use. Ugh!

Too thin and doesn't hold onto cardboard.

Duck Brand Standard Packing Tape general purpose acrylic packaging tape on a centered roll; durable 25 micron cast BOPP film with high-clarity, low-odor, non-yellowing acrylic adhesive, UV-resistant, for hand or automated carton sealing; suitable for temporary cord bundling.
