Duck Brand packaging tape is a solid choice for moving and packing. We used it during our move and it held everything securely with no issues. It sticks well, tears cleanly, and keeps boxes sealed through handling and transport. There is nothing else we can recommend—this is the only tape we would trust for a move. Overall, an excellent, reliable product worth every penny.

Duck General Purpose Packaging Tape just doesn't compare quality-wise to the other packaging tape brands that are common. To me, the tape seems a little too thin, even though seems strong once it's on a package. If the end gets stuck back on the roll,it's very difficult to get the end pulled back up for use. And it will split into many strips before you can get the tape into one piece and working again, which is frustrating and a waste of product, thus a waste of my money. It definitely sticks properly enough to close a box. I just don't like fighting with it while it's in the dispenser.

A Bit Frustrating

what i don't like about tape gun it's Don't come with instructions on how to use or how to load the tape onto the gun itself .... which was very hard to figure out how used tape gun safety .... i had too search the internet for videos on how to properly use this product without getting hurt .... this why i giving very low ratting on this product .... i need tape gun too packing boxes for shipping .... gun its itself nice product but with no instructions was pain in neck go lookup ....

This product does not deserve even one star.  I'm shocked the brand would attach its name to such an inferior product.  The tape is too flimsy to be labeled as a packing product.  In addition,  it is nearly impossible to use.  If it comes off the dispenser, you can't pick it up again because it won't lift intact.  It tears into many minuscule bits.  I tossed my roll in the trash can.  Do yourself a favor and purchase Scotch brand instead.

Don't Waste Your Money

This tape is very poor quality tape. I bought it to use on a package I was mailing and I couldn't even use it! The tape kept breaking and I couldn't get it to even pull off the dispenser in one piece! I t was very frustrating. I plan to return this tape for a refund since it was unusable.

Poor Quality Tape. Was unusable!

Was very flimsy along with the packing tape not being heavy duty. We've moved a few times and I couldn't find our 2nd heavy duty tape gun so purchased this. Ended up only using our heavy duty gun because this was so flimsy and the tape was not thick and heavy duty either.

tape is so thin it split easily and unexpectedly lengthwise instead of across.  if a piece gets  away  from you and grab the roll of tape it is very difficult to get the entire width of tape working again.   when tape splits it does not tear straight but tears off the edge of the roll.  extremely frustrating and time consuming.   spend more and get stronger thicker tape. this tape is very thin.  sticks to itself on the roll.  i threw it away .. felt great!!!

I'm not sure why the reviews are good, but this is awful!  I got it to replace one that ran out. I waste as much as I get on the package. I'm going to look for a different type by this brand as my old one was fantastic. Bought three and returning the two unused.

This is very cheap tape! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! It's not easy to use. It is thin so it gets stuck because it's cheap and hard to use, and keeps coming off the holder. Ugh! It's worth spending the extra money to get the better quality thicker packing tape.

Way too cheap! Awful packing tape!

the unit seems durable and the handle is soft to use.
The tape holder seems too narrow in diameter.  The rolls of tape just fall out of the gun when turned on its side.  A REAL PAIN!!!!!!!!.  The actual roller that you put the tape on is too small, but I put a strip of duct tape on the center of the roller to get me by for the time being.
