I will be definitely purchasing these in the future for other outdoor events. Especially during Fall Festival. They don't give off a lot of heat which is awesome for making smores during the Summer. They burned for about two and a half hours which was sufficient for my little gathering and did not give off that wood burning odor. So, kudos to duraflame. Yayy Smores!

The 5 lbs are accurate, though. I burned two of the sections together, simultaneously. It lasted about 35 minutes. It was plenty for what we needed. Ambiance and marshmallows. In travelling to certain places (certain national parks or other restricted burn zones), these things were just the answer for us. We carried them into the Black Canyon of the Colorado River by kayak (2.5 lbs), and it was perfectly swell for us.

This is not a 6-piece log set - it's a 4-piece.

Purchased a few of these things for a bonfire my daughter was having with some friends.  We were so disappointed.  They were hard to get lit and they absolutely stunk.  All the girls commented on how it didn't smell like real smoke or campfire.  I know they're not real wood but I didn't expect them to smell that bad.  Absolutely horrible. Will NEVER get them again.

The logs work fine although just lighting the wrapper may not be sufficient to light them uniformly.

The biggest problem is that both my local stores say the UPC associated with this item is just one bundle of logs and the in-store price is $4.97 despite what the title and description say.

I just got on the phone to Walmart.com while at pickup and told them they needed to sell me 6 bundles for the listed price of $11.20 which, after some debate, they did.

The UPC is only for 1 4-log bundle

Perfect for a short, convenient campfire.  Small and clean for car/motorcycle camping.

Clean campfire you can cook on

First of all Walmart claims there are six 4 piece logs for ~$5. This is not true. There is only one 4 piece log. Each 1/4 log burns with a constant, but small 3"-5", flame for about 30 minutes. The flame then dies down for another 10 minutes, then you just have a glow like charcoal from the small pieces that are left.

These logs were VERY hard to light in FREEZING temps. I had to use some lighter fluid to get it to start. If you are planning on using these for survival, make sure you can light them in very cold temps.

Good, but not great.

Thanks to Duraflame for introducing "roasting logs". I wrote to Duraflame who refrerred me to Walmart for the purchase. So..... thank you Walmart!
We bought them at Walmart and love them. I hope these are available year round!
We use them in our firepit and love the natural looking flames they make.
I would love to buy them by the case.

Great for roasting!

The campfire log is similar to other Duraflame products, however it burns quicker and hotter than other bigger logs. Good product, but I will not buy it again for our fireplace.

Burns hot

In a pinch this works well for roasting s'mores. Didn't roast anything more but really enjoyed sitting by the fire, talking.
