I bought these dishes because there is no lead or chemicals in them   they are made in France  and look really nice on the table.  I highly recommend them.

Was looking for a dinner set that I knew didn't have any lead or cadmium in the glaze or stoneware. After a long search came upon this tempered glass set from France - being glass I could be less worried about leaching/contaminants getting into our food. A great looking set. We especially like the mugs. 
Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because one plate arrived with a big scratch on it and a few of the plates have irregularly shaped edges. Perhaps just a function of them being glass and the way they were produced?? Really just a cosmetic thing and only noticeable when they're stacked.
