[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I run a YouTube channel and I needed a heater that could heat my garage, but also not be super loud. I also live in the country, so I need something that didn't require any sort of fuel. This heater blew my expectations out of the water. I was scared of wiring it up, but it only took 2 wires and it was ready to go! I've had it for about a week and haven't had any issues! It also makes for a great paint dryer!

After 8 month it started to over heat eraticaly , i had to close it then restarted to overcome this problem , now it does nt heat strong enough , if you dont install by an electricien they do not honor the waranty , i do not recomand this poor quality heater

Poor quality

I thought this unit a couple of days ago. I read the other reviews on the manufacturer's website about having a "bad batch" issue as the couple units they sorted to install were not working, even after exchanging the unit for a new one. Well that was 2 years ago, so I thought I could give it a try as they most liked had addressed the issue. Well no. I installed the unit on an external thermostat, and graduated the knob above the ambient temperature to test the heating unit. Made sure the switch at the back was on "external thermostat", turn the knob in the front to "max heat" as per external thermostat in the manual. The power light came on, but no heat and no fan. Tried all 3 intensity settings, no change. Got back to the manual, and it states that the light will turn on when there is power in the unit, so my thermostat is correctly working and giving power to the heater. It also states that the fan will start first, then the heater will turn on. Since neither the fan nor the heater are working, I suspect the fan being the culprit. I too the time to write to customer service since some customers had the same issue as you can witness in the reviews on the manufavturer's website (ghpgroupinc). I thought they could give me instructions on how to repair the fan on their unit or return it if it is a known irreparable issue. Yet after 3 exchanges, they were still asking me about my external thermostat and not answering the questions I asked them. I gave them a full walk-through of my installation process and the tests I ran. They knew the unit was getting power, as I told them the power light came on. Told them about my wires specs (14/2) and the ratings of my Honeywell mechanical thermostat (6000W, 240V). Yet they are still blaming my installation and thermostat. Don't waste your time and money on this unit (and the brand) due to the quality of their product and customer service. And by the way, if you hire an electrician to do the installation, it won't be reimbursed and you will have to pay again for the installation of your second unit (since this one won't work).

Very bad experience overall.
