Ease Of Installation

Offers competitive pricing, but can be costly for some users.

Can be straightforward, but also requires effort in some cases.

I have a 2013 Lancer Sportback GT, that came with a 710 Watt, 9-Speaker, Rockford-Fosgate sound system, and I've modified the car with headers, and ram intake, and a Tsudo exhaust.  Needless to say, the noise from the exhaust was ridiculously loud inside the cabin.  A friend said Dynamat was what I needed, so I got the 36 Sq. Ft. box.  I thought it was kinda' expensive, but I was told that it'll do exactly what it says, so I bought it.  It's primarily the stuff used by high end audio installers to kill car noise & enhance the sound.  To that end, it should do the same for exhaust noise, right?  

After a couple of installation afternoons, I did my hatch/trunk area, under the rear seat bench, and underneath the car.  The difference wasn't noticeable....it was stunning.  The forums said it dampen outside noise by at least 50%.  They were right.  I'd say even more than 50% in my case.  If you take your time, trim it well, cover EVERY spot you can....you'll hear (or more accurately, you will NOT), a massive difference.   

Helpful hints:  1. Be VERY careful when trimming this stuff, the foil edges are sharp as all heck.  Expect to get several tiny cuts/slices all over your hands.  Just part of the process.  You can't use gloves because the backing is SO sticky, you'll just make a mess of it.   2. BUY the hard roller that's recommended.  It makes a difference.  3. When trimming it, TRY to do so whenever possible so that you have some of the extra paper-tab pull off on the piece.  There will be times when you can't, and separating the backing from the mat without that pull-off can be.....challenging.  It's an adventure and a process, but the end result is simply amazing & well worth it.  Dynamat.  This stuff works...I'm a fan.

The Dynamat Extreme bulk pack contains enough to cover the whole trunk or the interior doors of your vehicle and I would highly recommend this product if you consider installing a sound system in your car. This is for the best sound and performance quality. I will definitely come back and buy Dynamat extreme for any future car audio installations!

Great quality and worth the price!

Easy application. The rolling pin and a tennis ball helped to smooth out and work in the contours. I would suggest wearing gloves. Any creases or tears in the backing material will cut your hands

Good Stuff

Used on the floor of a 73 Camaro, cover from base of firewall to the end of the back seat. Use a roller to save you pushing down and gloves (cut my fingers twice on the metal backing).

Great product

Product as described. It's expensive, and I end up needing way more then I plan on, but it is great stuff! I recommend it. It's a pain to install, but I really like the improvements/noise reduction! For my Crew Cab truck, one door used almost 4 sheets (although I probably could have stopped way before that, I even did the window motor, and everything else I could reach, lol).

After buying the Dynamat for $179, I purchased a cheap brand for $24.. turns out the cheap brand was the same amount of material and is exactly the same thing as Dynamat, way overpriced for what I got ..I recommend buying the cheap stuff for 24 bucks works the same looks the same .. exactly the same
