Suction Power

I can give you the advice to go and look for the instruction manual before buying so that you can be aware of its limitations. With this in mind you will understand that it's not a "shop vac". However it does a amazing job of removing the dust out of every kind of furniture made of fabric and upholster materials - It's really incredible. On the other hand I don't have much experiences with buying vacuums and thus I cannot really make any comparisons to other competitors which would use a similar technology.

It does what it has to do

I've only had this vacumn for a few weeks but it's everything I had hoped it to be. The suction is great awesome and the quality seems to be very good. I especially like the beater bar head that spins by air flow. So you can stop and start it as needed. This is very helpful as most of our house is wood floor with area rugs intermittently placed so it effortlessly goes from one floor to another doing an excellent job. It's a bit heavy and clunky but I suspect that this is as much the fact that our previous vacumn was quite a bit smaller. I would highly recommend this product. The price, sale, and the on line purchasing process certainly helped make this an overall great experience.

Fulfilled Expectations

I love my Dyson vacuum! very powerful simple function, it picks up everything without leaving a trace on the floors and on the carpets the level of sucking is amazing, I would exchange it for nothing in the world! !! Thanks Dyson! - Oh, my God. - Oh, my God.

Amazing! - Oh, my God. - Oh, my God.

The vacuum arrived a day earlier which was great . The vacuum is amazing. I have 2 now, one at the house and cottage, best ever. These should be the last I ever buy, they last forever and clean everything.

Vacuum cleaner

[Employee of walmartcanada] I bought this vacuum because of reviews from family and friends who had bought the same brand and loved it. We don't have carpeted floors, so it made sense for me to get this canister vacuum. It has good range, all the right accessories, cleans well, and is adjustable to fit the user (no more stooping!) It's fairly lightweight for use on stairs, but it has a smaller capacity for collection than I'd like, so having to empty it more often took away one star from this review.

Ergonomic

I have 3 cats, needed something that had enough power and I love this vacuum on the floor and carpet. Works great!

Good value

I have owned the DC37 animal Dyson for nearly three years. I have a big house and a baby and three pets so we have to vacuum every day! I seriously never knew German Shepherds shed every day of their lives. lol At first, I got the Dyson home and it felt like good quality and was very powerful. I noticed some design flaws pretty quickly, though, as the dust canister filled up and then was just a royal pain in the _____ to clean out properly. Very inconvenient and impossible to do without making a mess. Also, there seem to be lots of 'corners' in the vacuum and the hose where bits get stuck so I had to continually take things apart and get everything cleared out. Suction started to dwindle so it was time to clean the filter and that was very messy as well. And it just never seemed to come back to the original power and just slowly got worse and worse. The power nozzle started to just stop whenever it touched carpet, I guess because the suction was down. So ironic, as I would see dog hair on the runners in my hall and go over and over them with my specifically designed 'Animal ' vacuum and it would not pick it up. Finally, last week I picked up a 'full' vacuum and the handle snapped on me. I got nearly three years out of it so maybe that is the life of the machine? I am not sure. It is difficult to give it a rating as after a year I would have said four stars but after three years I would say one star. So I gave it three stars overall but would not recommend the machine for the price paid.

Worked well at the start but.....

I had the DC23 animal for a few years, but the power head keep shutting down they replace the wand about 4 times. Then it completely stopped working. Call tech support instead of sending me a new wand for the DC23 . They decided to send me a new machine the DC37. Well the power head on this model won't even clean a low pile carpet let alone a shag carpet. It bogs down a low pile carpet and stop rotating. I'm now in the same boat that I was in before the replacement. The DC23 was much better machine to bad they had problems with the power head. Or I would have keep it.

Not What I expected

Dyson

Only good for carpet cleaning but doesn't work on normal floors. Going to return it.
