I bought this item in order to no longer manage thread. It's done! I tell you that the brush with the green light is quite hot, for the dust freak you will be happy, you see everything! I love it!!! Good load according to the intended use. I am on my 3rd purchase of a refurbished device and I do not regret!

I love my Dyson v15 Detect. I had tried a very reputable competitors model but the weight of the head combined with lack of suction made me return it. I bought my Dyson and am beyond impressed with the performance and love how it shows the battery time remaining.

Great Machine

We've had our V15 for a month and are very pleased with the performance. Suction is very strong and the Detect bare floor tool is impressive --both in showing you where there's dirt on the floor (ick) and removing it. The dust bin empties easily and can be removed to get rid of any residual dirt and dust. We appreciate the low profile of the floor tools, as they fit easily under furniture, leaving no safe haven for dust bunnies. 

Battery life is sufficient to do a thorough cleaning of all floors in a 2,100 sq ft home, but you'll need to recharge if you also want to dust. We also appreciate the digital display for battery life; it's a vast improvement on old bar-style battery life indicators.

We purchased the low reach adapter and recommend this accessory as it makes it super easy to get under furniture without kneeling and other contortions. One small gripe on the topic of accessories: it's a mystery why Dyson does not include the soft dusting brush attachment in the set of tools included for this vacuum. It's an essential tool and for the premium price that Dyson commands, we really feel that should be included.

All-in-all, we give a very strong recommendation for this vacuum!

Great Vacuum

I bought this a few weeks ago and vacuum every day now. The time saved from not dealing with cords and hoses is a high point for me. The battery seems to last at least 45 minutes on a full charge, which is fine for me. It's very quiet compared to other vacuums I've used, even compared to my central vac. It's lightweight, easy to use and sucks carpets like a champ.

Great product

Great replacement for our old ball Dyson. Performs just as good, takes up less space and I like the attachments. I wish the wall mounting bracket and tube holder had enough room for all the attachments that came with the vacuum but am very happy with the performance. The green light is a nice addition, a great motivator for cleaning, and an alarming surprise of what you think is “clean” or “not that bad”. Excellent compact vacuum.

The green light is worth the upgrade

I have had for a month now. I do find it powerful. i do wish the light was on both floor attachments. I  had a bit of a problem with the wand attachment to the dust bin; it seemed very tight, and it took a bit of force to get it apart. You need to take that off whenever you empty. I sprayed with D40, and that has helped lots.  I do find i use the one powerhead more than the other, and that one doesn't have a light. I just find with my goldens that seem to pick up more without going over twice..so do miss the light part. Besides that, it's a great machine. I will only have a Dyson in our home; we have 4 Goldens, and I need a great machine. This would be my 3rd Dyson, 2nd battery one, and my other plug-in is still going strong, also, after 10 years.

This V15 replaced a 6 year old V11. 
It's OK, nothing special. But, the battery life is less then my V11 and the 'brush' head with it's laser shows just how much debris is not picked up or is thrown back out. 

The brush head cannot be stripped down enough to get dog hair out of the ‘fixed’ side of the roller.

And like most Dyson’s they do a pretty good job of cleaning and a poor job of field stripping to use an air hose to blow out all the dirt, which has to be done with these.

My biggest complaint with any of the stick vacuums is that you need two hands to use an attachment with a hose. They need a trigger lock for those times you need use an attachment and hold onto to something like the brush-dusting attachment.

Fun tip. We use the Downy dryer beads to help keep any orders down. One or two dozen beads keeps a nice fragrance when vacuuming.

It's OK

Removing 2 Stars for missing parts and unsatisfactory customer service. I bought the refurbished V15 Detect and found that two pieces were missing that were listed in the user guide and also seen in review pictures of other customers. When I enquired with the seller they responded that the two missing parts are not included in the package for this listing (with no explanation why they are not included) and that the pictures I've seen are probably from older listing. I felt this was strange and misleading since this change is not indicated anywhere in the listing. It would have been more transparent if the accessories list was mentioned like they have on other sites but in Walmart they have not listed them. What's more disappointing is the seller suggesting to us we buy the accessory ourselves.

Missing parts but good vacuum

This is my 3rd Dyson V15 with 1 year. The first stopped charging, the second, the wheel broke off from the head unit (it was covered under Warranty so they replaced the entire vacuum).   I really like the performance, it is hands down the best vacuum but I have been having very bad luck with this product.  It seems I always get lemons.

Great performance but on my 3rd cacuo

Holds only a small amount of dust and dirt before you have to clean it and always seem to have a clog.  I would have never purchase this product if i had known this.
