Can be sleek, but also flawed in functionality.

Higher cost compared to similar products.

Allows for silent running during sleep or relaxation.

Allows control and monitoring from mobile devices.

Let me start by stating that I researched humidifiers more than any other product I have ever purchased. My wife and I live in Southern California, it gets dry, add to that the terrible air quality with fires and pollution, our AC drys out what little humidity is left in the house, you can see where I am going.

We looked at every Air purifier/humidifier available regardless of cost and nothing came close to this Dyson, yes this is expensive but it is a high quality item that should last for years.

It is important to remember that no home humidifier will maintain an exact humidity, it will rise and fall throughout the day depending on a multitude of conditions but in my experience this machine does the best job overall, it maintains at least 30% humidity and takes most everything out of the air.

We only use distilled water and we keep it clean, very important because our city water is the hardest water ever, nothing kills a humidifier like hard water. Dyson states you can use tap water but I don't want to take that chance. Take no notice of any negative reviews, I consider myself to be the most critical person with this type of home product, it helps if you own other Dyson products and you will appreciate what I mean.

It has run perfectly and looks great, we love being able to control it with the Dyson app, we are perfectly satisfied and happy with this product.

We love Dyson products.

Dyson

I've had this for 2 months and am very happy with it. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats (some fish too, but they are not a problem). Cat box Oder & an old dog with issues used to give our house an bad smell. The Dyson Air purification has eliminated the problem. Great product. A bit pricey but worth it

Works Great

Wow. This humidifier is such a breath of fresh air, literally. From the app, to the cleaning, and everything in-between, this is the best quality of life improvement we have ever made. The unboxing was excellent, very secure and nothing was missing or damaged. The phone app made setup a breeze, and I love how it automatically registered the device for me. It immediately went to work, as we had just cooked dinner and it was in the kitchen when I unboxed it. The smell was gone in maybe, 10 minutes tops? Usually the house is left smelling like food until about midnight, even with the windows open due to the loft style of house we have. That was impressive, but I wanted to see how the humidifier helped my partner and I sleep. We moved it to the bedroom and went to bed. The night time mode was something I was desperately wishing for on my old Dyson humidifier. The humidifier runs quieter and the screen dims down to basically off. The LED display on the old unit was incredibly bright and we would block it with a post it note every night. We had probably the best nights sleep in years, no exaggeration. We woke up feeling great, and I noticed my partner hadn't tossed and turned during the night like usual. I was genuinely amazed. My partner suffers from terrible allergies and since moving to a new home, they have only gotten worse. We have had air purifiers in the past that had washable filters, or replaceable ones that didn't last long. This model cleans the air better that we have both ever experienced with any other air purifier. The quality of the air is noticeably better when walking into the bedroom as opposed to other rooms of the house. I was concerned whether or not this machine would oscillate, as that was something I wished the old humidifier had. It doesn't oscillate in the way you think it might, its actually really cool. There are channels that are motorized, and they move back and forth and have a few different angle settings. I love the breeze mode, it really does feel like a nice breeze. This keeps the unit really quiet as well, the motors for the channels are practically silent! When I finally got my hands on some distilled water (Covid problems) I tried out the humidifying feature. In the past, I have used tap water in my old humidifier and it blew the minerals from the water everywhere, eventually clogging my furnace filter and leaving us in the cold, not cool. But this model has a filter for the water! After I used the distilled water, I took a chance and used my incredibly hard tap water in the unit. It handled it like a champ! No crusty build up on the surround, no residue anywhere but on the filter and in the water chamber. It was a dream. The best part is my room didn't have white dust all over the furniture, a problem with the old model. The water tank is very, VERY easy to fill and fits a full gallon of water! Way more than the last one if I remember correctly. Dyson has even built in a descaling mode for cleaning the filter and the water tank, GENIUS. I am so glad they have put so much thought and care into this machine, it really shows. They really did think of everything! The app is very easy to use and lets you view a timeline of your air quality, as well as set up schedules, check air quality levels in your area, and you can even control the unit with the app! This is great for those times when the remote is magnetically attached to the top of the machine, but you're already in bed. You can even set up Siri shortcuts to turn the fan on and off with your voice, if you choose. Overall this unit is the last humidifier and air purifier you will ever need, and with Dyson's legendary support and warranty this will last you a very, very long time. An incredible feat of engineering, I am blown away every day by this machine.

An Incredible Advancement Over the Previous Humidifier

This is a top notch machine that will change and control your air environment in a fantastic and fully automatic way.

Highly recommended buy and a great and very good long term investment.

Really great

Very happy with purchase of two of these purifiers. I like to watch the air quality that is displayed coming from the sensors. It allows me to assess where the source of poor quality air is coming from. Both purifiers are in sync and display nearly identical air quality info on the app.

Great air purifiers. Great sensing displays

Another great design from Dyson, humidifier is excellent and needed during the warm weather. A lot of money, hopefully be worth it.

Great design

This is the first time I have bought a humidifier that is able to do its job despite the volume of my pieces. Don't lose money anymore buy Dyson

Excellent

I bought three of these amazing air filters. Initially, I was highly skeptical but knew I needed a reliable air purifying machine. Man, did this machine blow me away. Not only did my entire air get squeaky clean, it even tells me when I should open or close my windows. This bad boy protects me from the invisible pollutants and definitely placed a dent on my wallet. I'm a happy breather and hope that you are too!

The Air filter that can!

I bought this a month ago and the sensors are bad. I tried cleaning them out and I was on the phone with support for an hour and their best solution was for me to go pay someone to put a new sensor in. Not very happy about it.

Bad sensors for dust reading 999 constantly

I bought the first dyson article at Darty he didn't walk fortunately dyson changed it to me but the second one walked just one day and was forced to send it back to the dyson workshops
