Can be smooth, but may require technique.

This mascara proves that you do not need to spend mega money for a good product.  I bought the brown as I thought black might be too harsh on my 75-year-old eyes.  It did help to curl them and no clumping.  I always have a "used clean mascara brush from a previous tube" handy to help comb my mascara if and when my lashed cling together. The clinging often happens with any mascara, expensive or cheaper.  I will buy this mascara again as I think it worked well for me.  The curved bristle brush helped w/my thinning lashes.   (Also:  I used a mascara primer prior to applying the ELF mascara)

I haven't used this one before and after using it several times now I love it.  I usually also buy black.  I am in love with the brown, it really makes my eyes pop.  Highly recommend ELF products I use all of there products except for foundation (haven't found the right match for me).

Fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I hoped for!! I use it every day and love it! it doesn't irritate my eyes, it stays on all day, even during a bit of rain! It's easy to remove when you want to remove it, but won't just smudge off throughout the day. I'm not a makeup expert, and this is the first mascara I've ever tried, but I think I found THE ONE!!

I am pleasantly surprised with this mascara. It wears very well and the color is beautiful. It really makes my blue eyes pop. The applicator is nice and the price is very affordable.

Perfect brown mascara

Best brown mascara I've tried. I would say it's a near doop for roller lash. This gives the most wispy lashes ever and stays put all day. I love this for my more natural makeup days. On my second bottle already!

Holy grail

This brown mascara has a darker color which makes it more brown/black.  Most of it comes off easily with a makeup remover pad dampened with warm water. Follow up with a basic cleanser and your lashes are clean with no residue.

Nice tubing mascara at a great price

This is a tubing mascara, which is comparable to Thrive mascara, but it's not $30.
I love the brown shade because it just softens my look when I want a more natural makeup look.
Frankly I was shocked it was so good.

Dupe for Thrive

I have purchased this item before and liked it this time. It seemed rather dry and flaky, which I've never noticed before. Not sure I will buy it again.

Personally, I really didn't care for this mascara. I know it wasn't waterproof but it literally crumbles and falls off if you don't work fast, easy on your lashes but has a not so great application and wear. But at this price, you may want to see for yourself, because unlike me, my daughter absolutely loves this mascara and is one of her top favorites actually so to each their own I suppose.
