Finally, a Primer That Doesn't Make Me Look Like a Glazed Donut

I've tried more primers than I care to admit, and most either do nothing or leave my face feeling like I dipped it in cooking oil. This liquid version of the popular putty primer caught my attention because the original putty was too thick for my morning rush. The texture is silky without being greasy, and it glides on smoothly without pilling up or fighting with my moisturizer. A little goes a long way—one pump covers my entire face and neck. It blurs my pores noticeably without completely erasing them to that weird, airbrushed-to-death look. My foundation stayed put through a long workday and didn't settle into fine lines or slide off my nose by noon. The packaging is simple but functional, with a pump that dispenses just the right amount.

· What I liked: The texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly without stickiness. It plays well with both water-based and silicone-based foundations. My makeup lasted longer and looked fresher at the end of the day. No weird scent or irritation on my sensitive skin.
· What I'd note for others: If you're used to the original putty, this is a different experience—much lighter and more liquid. The pump can take a few presses to get going at first. It's not mattifying, so if you're super oily, you might still need powder.

It's earned a permanent spot in my daily routine. I'm hoping the formula stays consistent and the pump mechanism holds up, because finding a primer that actually works without feeling like a mask is a rare thing.

My Pores Finally Learned to Mind Their Business

I have dry skin. I have large pores and texture on my skin. My makeup never looks seamless because of the pores. I got this on a whim and it worked so good! I have blemishes and wrinkles on my forehead. The creamy texture blends out smoothly. It also adds luminosity where it's applied. This might be a new favorite.

Wish I had a bigger bottle

This is the butter of makeup. This isn't a want this is a need. My makeup looks so smooth on my face and it doesn't crease under my eyes anymore. This is an absolute game changer. I highly recommend this product

I honestly wish I found this sooner. I have large pores and oily skin. I pat this into my problem areas and then rub the rest in. It makes my pores much less noticeable and my makeup goes on flawless.

I like. how easy the tube makes it to dispense the liquid.  my 78 year old skin looks smoother and flawless when Elf make up foundation is applied.

Elf primer

This is a great face primer.  ELF is a good reasonably price to cosmetic and department store brands.  I like that it is much easier to find and is gentle to the skin.

This primer is fantastic at keeping my makeup locked in place all day long. I did have to experiment a little bit to find the perfect sweet spot for how much product to use to blur my pores. However, once I figured out the right amount, it worked beautifully! It leaves a smooth, even base for foundation.

I applied this to half of my face, took a picture, and sent it to a few people. They could immediately tell which side had the primer on and which side didn't. It made my pores look a lot smaller and it looks natural.

I found that it didn't blurr as well as had hoped. It is really light weight and has a smooth texture.
