I've been using and loving Thermacell products for quite some time now, including some of the older rechargeable units. The EL55 works exactly the same and uses the same cartridges, but incorporates numerous improvements. Most notably, is significantly improved battery life with the lamp off and of course the incorporation of a gentle glowing lamp. I also like the change to a USB-C charge connectorover the antiquated micro on the previous gen. These things work amazingly well and they keep getting better.

Solid improvements to an already great product

Works great and is powerful! Our backyard is a haven for mosquitoes due to bushes and our location. Now we can sit on our patio and enjoy the evening without worry. We don't spray and like to go “natural.” We already have their portable and “patio shield” products, but this is even better AND is rechargeable! I'm buying more!

Works, powerful & rechargeable!

I've tried a lot of different devices before using this Thermacell. It really works!! My patio is open on one side. I noticed the mosquitoes that were already on the patio were pushed into the corners. They did not come out biting! Very happy with this purchase! My only wish is that the refills were less expensive.

IT WORKS!

We have a major problem with mosquitos in our yard. I purchased this after reading several reviews and decided to take a chance. It actually works. It is important to follow the instructions and turn it on in the area you are going to use it for 15 minutes before you remain outside.

It works!

I have been able to enjoy sitting outside again. For the first time in weeks, I can enjoy my coffee in the morning and my wine in the evening without interruption. I recommend this 100% to anyone who wants to avoid pesky mosquitoes and the itchy bites. 5 starts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This really work, I promise

Very pleased with how this product works. Turn it on and in minutes our porch is mosquito free. We used it a couple nights in a row and it almost seems.to have a residual effect. The next night or two were mosquito free without turning it on. Then again, maybe the skeeters just weren't around those nights! Either way, it works great!

Really works!

If you are looking for a mosquito solution that doesn't require covering yourself in chemicals or lotions, this product is for you. Effective and easy to use, I would recommend this for any outdoor activity.

Great product to keep you outdoors!

This is perfect for my small (10'x12') patio. I run it for a few hours in the early evening and have yet to get a mosquito bite. Before, I had to apply insecticide to my clothes and body to enjoy an evening on my patio.

Great for Small Areas

I have multiple portable Therma cells. I got this one as a gift to cover my patio area as we live in a wooded area and mosquitoes are quite prevalent. I wish there was some sort of holder that I could put into the ground so I get set multiple out to cover the entire area without having to just set them on the ground.

Works well

This product repels mosquitoes.  The battery barely lasts 2 hours, the replacement cartridges are how they make money, and it's important not to forget to turn it off.  We'll keep using it, but it's not for everyone.

The good and the bad

I was super excited for this after reading all the reviews. However what I found is that it only works at about an 70% effectiveness here in East TN. It definitely helps BUT don't expect this to solve all you mosquito problems.
