These could be better for the price. they do not activate until your close. Other I have purchase come on much further away.

Good. I think they could be better for the price.

It would not work with an electric ballast florescent light.  It only works with a magnetic ballast florescent light.  They should make that clear,  I emailed the manufacturer and they did not reply so I returned them t Walmart and got a refund.
