Ease Of Installation

So far this product is working great. I was nervous about going with an aftermarket valve instead of a GE valve, but with a cost of 50% less, I figured I would give it a try. I will keep and eye on it and hope that it holds up as well as the original, which lasted 22 years.

Water valve

This was an exact replacement and an easy fix. Unfortunately it wasn't the the culprit.  Before you replace this part run the water line from the source straight to this valve bypassing the filter.  If you get water and ice then you need to replace the water filter head instead of this part.

Maybe it's fixed, maybe not

I ordered this for store pick-up. It arrived two days early.  It was ridiculously easy to install and it works very well.  The problem was that the water did not turn off when I removed a glass from the dispenser.  Did a little research on-line and reached the conclusion the valve had to be replaced and it looks like it was the right conclusion.  I believe I saved at least $100 by doing this myself.  The part was priced right at less than $20

Excellent Delivery Service - Super Easy to Install

Great inexpensive fix for a dripping GE in door water dispenser.  These need replaced often in GE refrigerators.  Easy to look up installation videos and install.  Definite money saver!!!
