I have been looking for an unusual rug for my mermaid themed bathroom and I thought I had hit the jackpot. True, $35 was bit more than I wanted to pay for a bathroom rug but if it was good quality, I would not have minded at all. The rug is okay around the woven perimeter, but the mermaids in the center are "painted" on; this is not as noticeable from a distance but up close, it's somewhat crude and primitive. I suspect it will not withstand any kind of walking/standing on it either...which is sort of an issue in a small bathroom space. Will keep looking for something better
