The Earthquake cultivator worked like a charm in helping me to till our small garden plot this year.  This was quite a relief, as I had been tilling this plot by hand for years.  After just a minor assembly, the cultivator started on the first pull!  I am super pleased with our purchase of this product!

Great little cultivator!

I love this little machine, it works great. There's one thing I would like people to be aware of.  You have to store this, even if it's for a short time in the check oil position. If you don't store it in the up side down position, the oil will run into the cylinders. Makes it very hard to start. If you store it properly, it starts on the second or third pull. . I hope this helps anybody else with that problem. I believe it's called hydrostatic lock up.

4 Cycle Earthquake

After looking at many different cultivators I decided to go with this model earthquake. The power it has cut through sod easily and tilled my soil afterwords very well. It was a little hard to start but once running it started right up again when I shut it off. Great product for the money.

Does great job

I bought the tiller to weed my garden. It worked fine in really loose soil but does not like compacted dirt at all. It seemed to really bounce out of control if I tried to do any kind of compacted dirt. Will work fine in a flower garden or in really loose soil. I reversed the tines which seem to help a little. Other than that it worked great. I would recommend this tiller to a friend.

Earthquake 4cycle cultivator

It has done its job with only one problem. I have used it maybe five times since I purchased it. I had to remove the top pull rope assembly twice due to it locking up and not being able to crank it. Once you remove it, it will unlock itself and you can crank it. I read a review someone else had the same problem so I was aware it might happen.

It did it's job with a few problems.

The cultivator is exactly what I expected. It works great for our downsized garden and has ample power to break the ground. My only complaint is the way the choke is set up, it is poorly design and mine was broken when it arrived, even though the packaging was in good shape.

Good product with a small hiccup.

Bought this for my wife who loves to garden, to replace her electric cultivator, which are about the same size. This cultivator has a hard time with any hard dirt and only goes down about 2 inches, whereas the electric cultivator goes down 5-6 inches.  The tines are not very aggressive at all and this is the weakest part of this cultivator. The best thing about this cultivator is no more extension cord.

Could BE Better

The unit came well packaged.  It was very easy to assemble.  It is a little difficult to start, and seems under-powered.  Overall it does its job fairly well.

It works

We bought this machine roughly 4 months ago. The first time we used it the cultivator ran great. Every time since then it takes over 15 minutes to get the machine to run. Once we finally get it to run, it never gains power to actually till up the garden. If you move the choke any which way, it shuts off completely and will occasionally shut down while you are in the middle of tilling. We store this inside when we are not using it, so it is not left out in the elements. I am extremely disappointed in how this product runs and would not recommend this cultivator to anyone. Definitely not worth the money.

Horrible machine

Usually don't say this but it is a piece of JUNK!   Have to turn it completely over to change oil.  I bought two and this is the 4 cycle.Hard to pull rope.  Have had it a month and 3 days!
