Item arrived as promised. I purchased this item with another 4-8' kit from the same company, in hopes of using the pieces from both sets (pieces are all interchangeable) to build a walk-in closet from a tiny unused room. Between the two shipments, each one had one vertical panel that was bent in the end corner, probably shipping damage, which made them look very unattractive. This did not bother me though, as I they were extra pieces to what I wanted to do with it, so I never called to have them exchanged. I've read other reviews that said the company will send you any missing or damaged pieces.

Note that you do need a drill, a stud-finder, and a saw if you want to build anything other than the layout they have on the cover. I thought I could avoid sawing because one of the tracks was the same length as the shelf, but it was too short for the shelf and vertical panels together, so I was forced to purchase a saw. I got a cheap $7 saw off amazon prime (said it cuts through metal), and it took me 10-15 minutes to saw through each piece. For the record, I'm a nerdy 26-year old female graduate student in a science profession, and in no way experienced in building stuff that doesn't come with ikea-level pre-drilled holes and instructions. That said, I felt this was very easy to put together.

It looks very nice. My only qualm with it is that it's not totally stable unless you screw shelves into it. The whole thing literally hangs on the easy track and gets support from the wall behind it, but each individual vertical panel by itself is only supported by the easy track and therefore swivels. The only way to keep it from swiveling is to stabilize it with a shelf, which you NEED to screw into the vertical panels. They also provide little shelf-holding bits that you can just shove in the holes to keep your shelf temporarily at a certain level, but those do not stabilize the vertical panels, and neither does the garment hanging rod. In fact, having just one shelf drilled in doesn't make it completely stable, but certainly keeps it from swiveling. I'd recommend two shelves per two vertical panels, to keep them firmly against one another. This gave me some grief as I was building it, and the metal rod fell and hit my head. I had to put a divider shelf between the two rods to keep it tightly against each other.

In the end, it is very nice, and I am certain it can hold up a substantial amount of clothes, but the fact I had to put a shelf somewhere other than where I wanted just to keep the whole thing from falling apart, leads me to giving this item 4 stars instead of 5. I would definitely recommend to a friend, but just warn them to use more shelves in the process.

Damaged item

The quality of the product is not what I expected,  unfortunately the  parts for assembling came incomplete and I have to say the instructions were just lacking . Next time for the same amount of money I can get something  better from Ikea.

Disappointed

Did not work for me. You can't even hang regar sized hangers.  This will fit better for children's clothing.

Returned

I was extremely disappointed, I thought I was getting the closet in the picture instead I got a tiny section that is prettier useless.   Very misleading advertising!
