I wanted a rod that would wrap around for less lighting.  
A note to think about when getting rods. I have black out shades, therefore I should have ordered a deeper rod(had to add a  block of wood so the curtain would go over the shade).

Check the depth of the rod you need.

Easy to install, blocks light great. If you wasn't too extended the full 48in, you'll need a middle supporting bracket as the blackout curtains are generally heavy and will cause the rods to bow slightly.

Great for single windows, fixed 5-6in past frame

This is an all metal two connecting rods system that is very easy to put up. Soneone said the mounting cups were plastic, not true. I ordered a second one for another window, and am very satisfied with these.

We have a couple of these curtain rods now, with heavy darkening curtains. The curtain rods were easy to install and have a clean look. They also work in areas where there is not a lot of clearance (close to walls, etc.), and no finials to collect dust.

Easy to Install, clean look, functional.

I love the design but be aware that it does not extend far from the wall.  I had to return as it could not clear my my outside mounted blinds when mounted on the wall instead of the window frame..

Nice But...

Look great --- BUT made of PLASTIC.  the rod is OK but where they connect to  the wall-- that  was a plastic piece that broke immediately. Disappointed.
