Eco Gel is an amazing product! Great hold with no flakes like other gels. I've used all of the different varieties and I've yet to be disappointed. This is the only gel I will use.

Best gel on the market!

I always come back to this gel.  It's not sticky and it doesn't flake off.  I've tried some of the more pricey gels but this is the one I'm using.  A little for control.  A lot for definition.  This is all I need.

Found my gel!

I usually use the green Eco gel for my wavy/curly hair but the store was out of stock so they substituted for this one. This one is ok...but I don't feel the hold is as good as the green one. My waves/curls are losing their hold halfway throuh the day even with the same routinue.

It's Okay but I Prefer the Green Eco Gel

I don't hate this product, I have to use an ungodly amount on my drenched wet hair and I don't like that but I understand there is a method. I prefer a gel that I can put in my damp hair that will have the same effect with less work. Honestly tho, I don't hate it and it keeps my hair soft and not crunchy. I have wavy soft curls and they are defined when I use this product right

A bit heavy for my curls. If you prefer a gel without the cast you should try this.

ZERO HOLD. I use almost a handful and my hair still ends up soft and not gelled down.

Use the EZ Sport instead.

From a lot of the reviews, I was expecting this product to provide a firm hold.  I've sold hair and beauty supplies for a long time, and have used dozens of brands of hair gels.  

I'm finding I am really missing a lot of the products we could get back in the 80s.  If a product said “firm” or “strong” holding on the label- you were truly going to get a *firm* hold.  As in- use too much, and your hair turned into plastic.  And, for some 80s looks, that's the kind of hold we needed, lol.

I guess people now don't need the strong-holding products like we used to use/need.  Come to think of it- gravity-defying hair styles do seem to be rare these days.

I have baby fine hair, with a ton of wispy bits around my hairline.  These become incredibly annoying, as I always have a lot of fans going at once, and the hairs are constantly tickling my cheeks and forehead.  I could use a firm hold hairspray to keep them in place, but thought I would give a new hair gel a try.  This product got good reviews, and had a fantastic price point, so I ordered it.

This product, to someone who remembers those industrial hold 1980s products, is a light to light/medium hold gel.  I tried it on both wet and dry hair, and found I needed to GLOB it on to get *any* hold at all.  And it did hold, but I could tell the product would fail after a few hours, meaning the wispies would break free and start tickling again.  And that is what happened.  Only, it took barely 10 minutes for the “hold” on this product to fail.  I gave up, and used some old reliable strong hold hairspray to hold down those wispy hairs.

If you are looking for a light to light/medium hold gel, this might be the product for you.  It is pleasant to use, with hardly any scent, and you get a ton of product for a few dollars.  If you are looking for all-day hold, however- I would pass on this gel.

The only products that come close to providing the hold I need are Got 2 Be products.  And while I'd rather be using Sebastian's Spritz Forte, or that old reliable aqua blue coloured KMS hair gel, Got 2 Be will have to do.

Uh- “MAX HOLD”?  Barely holds at all.

Great product for slicking your hair back, moisturizing while holding in place, and it helps your hair grow and thicken.  Especially if you've just shaved your head and are now trying to grow it back.  The other similar products do the same, and I am grateful for its amazing performance!  There is also no white flaking and easy wash out.
