These shelves were not consistent.  Five of the shelves were very well made from MDF material...three of the shelves were made from the cheapest particle board I have ever seen.  They would not cut smoothly and ended up being thrown away.  For $8 each, I expected the quality to be better and certainly the same material through each shelf.
