Container was easy to open. And easy to use. Just pour into Brian well. Press regenerate now button and hold for three seconds just before going to bed. Unit was regenerated in the morning. Cleaner does a very thorough job at keeping the unit maintained, clean and fresh.

Water softener maintenance made easy

My water comes from a gravity feed spring and unfortunately we had a sediment problem.  Technically it's called glacial flour and it's so fine that it passed my 155micron mechanical filter and my 20 micron paper sediment filter and went right into the softener.  I didn't think I was going to get the softener back but I tried the cleaner after cleaning the brine tank out with a vacuum. 
Put the cleaner in and ran the recharge 3x but I am happy to say it's running back to new levels.  Very satisfied.

My softener is one year old in December. I have used the cleaner to keep it running like new.  My 20 year old unit had started to  run out of soft water between normal cycles.  I used a cleaner and it got I a performance back.  I'm not sure that a 4 month cleaning is needed for the 15 grains of hardness from my City water but I will continue to use the cleaner.

Cleaning a new softener.

I just installed a new Ecopure water softener and bought the 3-pack of Ecopure cleaner. I'll be using 1 bottle every 4 months to help keep my softener clean and properly doing it's 
job. Ecopure promises to extend the softner's to 5 years. So, not only is it the smart thing to do, it could pay for itself in the long run.

Highly recommend use of this product

Certainly worth using, to extend the warranty of your water softener. But hard to quantify the benefit when you haven't experienced the downside of not using it
