I have tried lots of edge controls but this one is the ULTIMATE in hold for HOURS & HOURS literally. It does not make sense in spending money on products that don't hold. It smells good and more like a thick gel. You can feel it working on your scalp like peppermint when applied. My edges are slowly growing back after not even a month. I apply it like grease on the areas I need to regrow. Good thing I purchased two of them to test it and will be ordering more. Amazing!!!

I have been using The Mane Choice products for about 4 years now. I was diagnosed with Alopecia and I decided that using quick weaves would not be a good idea long term. I decided to go natural and that meant having to start from scratch. I started using the product and I have had noting but success! I get compliments on my hair multiple times a day! This product has allowed me to create beautiful curls and enjoy my grayness :-)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually enjoyed this edge control! A little goes a long way for sure. It wasn't clumpy and it didn't leave a white cast. It has a pretty good hold especially after a few hours of being outside. Overall I like this product!

Smooth Texture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wavy/curly hair and live in a super humid climate, so I wanted to try this edge control to see if it helped me manage my fly-away frizzies when I pull my hair back. Let me say, it works very well, isn't sticky, and doesn't flake. Not overwhelming scent and the container is small, but you need very little product to achieve the hold you need. Look no further curly girls!

It's thick but not too thick and a little goes a long way. It didn't flake or turn white but will if it's too much. Overall, not a bad edge control. I would put out this in rotation!

I really wanted this product to be a staple in my routine! I love that it's infused with aloe, avocado oil, and Pro-Vitamin B5—my edges definitely felt nourished and there was zero flaking, which is a plus.

That said, it just didn't hold up for me throughout the day. I have coily Type 4 hair, and my edges started lifting just a few hours in. I was hoping for more staying power, especially with the promise of a 48-hour hold.

It's great for soft styles or light hold days, but if you're looking for something to keep your edges laid all day (and night), this may fall short.

Appreciate getting to try it, but not a go-to for me.

Decent, but didn't live up to the 48-hour hold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using edge control, not sure what to expect. There is no scent whatsoever which is nice. It did not leave any residue nor did it flake. It holds up really well! It left my daughter's hair shiny where it was applied. I like how the container is clear so you can see how much is left.

Great hold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this edge control, but it completely missed the mark. Despite claiming “48H hold,” my edges started lifting within a couple of hours — and I wasn't even sweating or doing anything strenuous. The texture is greasy rather than firm, and it left behind a noticeable residue that flaked by the end of the day. It also didn't blend well with my natural hair texture and caused buildup that was hard to wash out. For the price, I expected way better performance. Definitely not repurchasing.
