It has more red tint to it than we thought.  But we like it!

I've given lots of products 5 star ratings so my review is not indicative of a cynical nature. This product is good looking and will remain in the house, purchased to hold a few potted plants near the window . The low rating is due to a number of problems with assembly and manufacturing decisions made by management. The table is made of stained slash pine and because of being a softwood and the shortness of the provided assembly screws wherever the screws are used to insert parallel to the grain they strip out the hole even with the Dewalt drill with Phillips bit set on the lowest torque setting. They have to be inserted using a hand screwdriver and even then an extremely low pressure must be used or the screws will strip. It is absolutley essential then to use a good glue to supplement the screws or the table will be structurally unsound and start to loosen up quickly. I ended up getting longer screws and replacing the ones provided. Also the table top is only firmly attached at the rear and held in place elsewhere by just two dowels on either side projecting just  1/4" into the underside of the top. Bottom line here is you can't pick the table up by the top with out physically separating the top from the body (see photo). We use the table but if it has to be moved you must do so by the legs. The table comes with a large 10" sticker firmly adhered to the finished back panel of the table . This can remain if you intend to never have the rear of the table exposed to view but to remove it requires considerable labor. I scraped with a plastic putty knife for 15 minutes and despite being careful the finish was gouged off in a couple places . The adhesive cannot be removed using Goo Gone and I had to resort to paint thinner and a lot of rubbing. The areas where the finish was scraped off were restored using Varathane Red Chestnut stain for a match and a coating of Min-Wax sating wipe on polyurethane. Personally I think manufacturers who apply super sticky labels to the aesthetic parts of their product are exhibiting serious misanthropy. Finally the handle hardware is held in place by an interior set screw and one of the handles seized up due to the necessary tension needed to hold the handle in place. Just another aggravation. There is only one wide shallow drawer ,not two btw. Overall sturdiness of the table fully assembled I would rate 3 or 4 out of ten. We're keeping it like I said but it has limited expected load and moving around so it will do. If you buy it be prepared for some extra creativity, materials and lots of time to get it set up...and realistically I would cut the stated max weight load specs in half - just to be safe.
