Spring tension hoops are easy to use! Eliminate tightening screws that distort your embroidery, stitchery, applique or quilt fabric. Just lay fabric over the outer plastic hoop then gently squeeze the inner metal hoop to secure it. This package contains one 3.5 inch hoop, one 5 inch hoop and one 7 inch hoop in assorted colors. Hoop thickness: 5.5mm. Imported.

not sure if these will work with a thick material, but do look to be good quality. shipment packaging was extreme!! mid size box with over 5 ft of brown paper, would have been better if shipped in a padded envelope, less waste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tension of hoops is not as tight as expected. I wrapped some light weight fabric around the metal portion of hoop to increase tightness.

I like the sizes of these hoops, however they do not hold the fabric taught enough for hand embroidery.

They're great for machine work but not handwork
