Grandson no longer wants to be architect, wants to make potions and cure Covid. Also just ordered a hand held one for when rock hounding or exploring and planted and wild herbs, medicinal plants (and weeds) etc. on organic property we live on and he grew up on 1st few years while Mama was working.

Forget Architect wants to make potions. Cure Covid

My granddaughter loves science and she went through every slide as soon as she turned it on. It is so well done and Bindi's enthusiasm is wonderfully contagious. Please make additional slides, I will be purchasing them as soon as they become available.

Wonderful educational toy for a young scientist!

Very educational for young children ages 5 and up.

Learning the world is fun.

This is an awesome gift- especially because you can change the lanugage! But please, please, please make expansion sets of slides! My 4yo no longer plays with it because it's just 20 slides and he exhausted all the facts after a few weeks. I would gladly pay more for 25 or 50 more slides in an expansion pack.

Please, please make more slides!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is pretty cool. Lots of info on each slide. Cool pictures. The only thing. That does give it a "5" is 1) the storage drawer doesn't close (could be that mine was an anomaly) and 2) it can be obnoxiously loud unless you turn down the volume. Other than that, it's a good product.

Pretty Cool but....

I have bought this for my very inquisitive 6 year old grandson. He loves anything to do with Science and Nature so a perfect gift for him! A bit disappointing to say the least that you do not market additional slides for ongoing education and capturing users imagination. I know he would use this time and time again if additional slides were available and we would be happy to continue purchasing them. It's a problem others have flagged up too. It let's the product down a little.

No additional slides?

This company produced a great product -- and then dropped the ball. Our six-year-old granddaughter loves this! It's just 3 weeks after Christmas and she's already been through all the slides and is begging for more. The company really needs to make more slides available or to supply an adapter that allows it to accept regular prepared slides. If it's an add-on, that's fine. Now that I know how much she enjoys it, I'd gladly pay for an extension kit.

This product is almost there. I was thinking both of my kids (7 and 3) would be interested in this, and they were, but that didn't last long. The quizzes and slides provided are decent, but once the kids run through them, they lose interest. Also, the slides come with three images of different magnitudes of an organism. I get that this is a cheaper way to zoom in and learn, but it is kind of meh. If there was a knob to turn, so it zooms in and out, that would be and feel more fun. Here is a quick fix that would improve the product and wouldn't cost much (I guess?). Include some blank slides that can open and close, so kids can put things in the slide and look at them. This gets the kids exploring around their homes and makes them feel more like scientists than students. I think the goal is not so much learning about the organisms chosen (TV/Internet can do that), but to use the microscope itself as scientists do. Imagine kids learning from the audio and then also asking questions about things they find to their parents and making it more interactive. Boom!
