Pete The Cat Game

My kids love the Pete the cat books, so they were thrilled to see a gamen this game is almost exactly like the sneaky snacky squirrel have, if you've ever played that. I like that it teaches colors and shapes and that kids work on their fine motor skills while playing. However, if you already have the sneaky snacky squirrel I wouldn't get this one too, since it's identical. This game teaches shapes, unlike the squirrel game, so it has a bit more educational value. It can get boring for older kids though. Overall I enjoyed playing it with my 5 and 3 year old?

I played Pete the Cat I love My Buttons Game with my 3 year old and 7 year old. They had lots of fun! I liked the fact that the game itself doesn't take that much space to play it and to be stored. I also liked this game because my 3 year old was having a hard time identifying the shapes and he's now motivated and learning how to identify his shapes when we play this game. We have played this game every day after homework time for the past three days. I can see how The Pete squeezer can help with strenghtening my 3 year old's motor skills. With Pete the Squeezer he has to be able hold it tight in order to be able to pick up the shapes. The game it self took about 30-45 minutes to play. I like that it had ways of losing shapes when you spin and land on Bye Bye Buttons, Cool Cat Boogie and Sharing day so the game wouldn't end so quickly and for my 3 year old son can learn to self control his emotions when he loses and lands on one of those. Overall, my kids and I liked playing this game because it is going to help my 3year old with the skills that his teacher is concerned about. This is a great game for kids that do not know how to take turns or have a hard time with motor skills and learning their shapes.

Fun and Educational!

My 3 year old was instantly excited when Pete arrived. Ripping open the box, she was mesmerized! Super easy game to understand and she was hooked. We loved working through the colors and shapes with her. She did a great job with using her done motor skills using Pete to pinch and pick up the buttons and fill her game piece. The only downside was getting her to stop and go to bed!

A great gift for a 3 to 6 year old

Super cute for preschool aged kids. Simple enough to practice turn taking and get motor skill practice for kids that struggle a little more with attention and focus ( if it's too complex they loose interest) Cool for kids that read the books and watch the show.

This is a very simple but fun game that the whole family can enjoy. My kids read Pete the Cat books and enjoy the character so that helped them be interested. This game was perfect for me 3 year old as far as skill level and keeping her enertained. My 7 year old had fun but got bored by the end.

Simple and fun game for the whole family

We love Pete the Cat! We have a lot of the books, but this was our first time playing a Pete the Cat game. This game was really cute, my child was excited to see his favorite cat character from the books sort of come to life in this game. He could grab him and touch him, he loved that. It's an adorable and fun way to learn shapes and colors. He enjoyed using the Pete squeezer to pick up the buttons and put them where they need to be. There's not a lot to it, there's no reading or anything that would be too hard for a very young child. Kids older than 5 or 6 will likely be bored with it after using it once or twice. Great for teaching shapes and colors, developing motor skills by squeezing and picking up the buttons, and learning how to take turns with the spinner.

The spinner is badly designed and must be held down in order to spin - and that alters the outcome of the spin. On the spinner, there are 3 ways to lose buttons - the red button where all the buttons "pop" off, the Cool Cat button where all buttons must be put back, and the Sharing button where a button must be given away, 3/9 ways to lose. Then, if you spin the circle button two times in a row, you don't get to put another button on the shirt. SO many ways to fail, and this makes for a very long game especially for 3 year-olds who have lost interest.
