<p>Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That master piece is then used to create a mould master. Once the mould master is created we use our high density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, light weight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high density urethane and not vacuum formed, plastic type medallions. Medallions can be cut using standard woodworking tools to add a hole for electrical or a ceiling fan canopy. Medallions are light weight for easy installation.</p><b>Features</b>. After receiving the plain medallion, we painted it a antiqued colored taupe, metallic shade, matching the color of the fan base, and it turned out very well. 

We like the finished look which the medallion adds to the bedroom, vs. installing the fan bare against the ceiling.

It was a good decision purchasing it.

EKENA MILLWORK

I have nothing but the highest praise for your urethane ceiling medallions, of which I have recently purchased 2 (each a distinct design) for a renovation project.  The primed surface supports a top coat beautifully.  In my case I chose a chalky finish white, which adheres and dries to create the ideal vintage appearance: a matte surface.  From standing position, an adult of average height (I am just under 6' tall) is hard-pressed to discern that this item is not an old plaster piece.  Keep up the work!
