<p>Gable vents work to provide ventilation, releasing stagnant air, preventing damage from humidity and optimizing temperature control. Gable vents are particularly useful during the summer months when hot air rises and is trapped in the attic, where it can transfer itself down through the ceiling and back into the level below, decreasing the effectiveness of air conditioning systems. A gable vent is located at the attic area, commonly on the exterior wall where the two planes of a sloping roof join, forming a triangle. I built a small shed (8X10), complete with windows, tile roof, and the original front door from my home.  It looks like a doll house and matches our home perfectly.  I wanted to install a couple of vents and these were the perfect size and still look great after at least seven years.  I highly recommend this product if it suites your needs.

I was looking for a vent capable of venting for a small blower.  While the product was well made the opening area of this vent was only the four small 1/4" opening slots totaling about 5 square inches of opening.  That's a circular hole opening of about 2-1/2" in diameter remembering it took 12 inches to equal only 2-1/2" round opening . 

Not really more than any small soffit vent hole insert cost less than one dollar.

I was pleased that you offered such a selection vented gables.  Even other companies on-line did not have the 12 X 12.  thanks.  We are replacing an older style vent and hope that this vent will give an updated look to a house that was built in 1957.

Enhancement

I am a purist and in our renovation have insisted on real wood for all new siding and trim, windows, etc. This is the first non-wood I have ever purchased. I have to say that I am very impressed by the material and I may have been converted. It was also shipped to me very quickly. Thanks!

Round gable vent lover

Although these Louvers were the perfect size, they did not support my application.  I needed 12 inch round or octagon louvers that would work with vinyl siding.

Louver Problem

Had the item that I was looking for. Easy site to navigate with good description of products. Checkout easy look forward to receiving ordered item.

I ordered the ventilation version, but what arrived had minimal slits for ventilation.  I threw these in the trash.

We got this to use for a newly constructed chicken coop we built.   It was perfect - just what we wanted and needed.
